You are referring to the small light on the left? >> Z3-S(2016)
Added more info on OP.
LoL. My eyes playing tricks on me last night.
BOSS1 could be their flagship model. In customer feedback section, Palight rep replied that they would continue to improve on the design, and they could come out with a 4x XM-L2 model in future.
Well the tube has to be 55-60mm maybe more, the head is a fair bit wider⌠80-90mm?
Really hope this ends up like the Courui and gets picked up by multiple vendors for a solid price. I donât even have 4x 26650 cells, but I would definitely pick up a set for this beast. Hopefully it has an integrated shelf and good build quality throughout.
freeme, is the driver a 1S driver? I see there is a B3+ on the middle pin. Iâm assuming this is for a single cell in the middle of the battery tube. Is this correct?
80-90mm head sounds really good I hope you are right.
If you are this could be the pre built kaidomain big reflector equivalent light, many(? i have at least ) have been waiting for. For much less than actually building one based on the Courui yourself.
That should mean 800kcd+ with a hard driven dedomed XP-G2 S4
And massiv +1 on just the light and not some silly charger & cells of unknown quality.
If the head really are that big we are looking at the new king of budget throwers here in the BOSS, maybe they can do a slim version also with the same reflector.
EagleTac has already proven the market with there very expensive M25C2 Turbo, they could do a budget version for much less. If they can sell the boss for 45$ with charger and cells, they should be able to do a slim for 30-35$ because of much less material and cheaper thinner alu stock, that would sell crazy numbers
Already contacted manufacturer, initial quote is still on the higher side.
Please express your interest over at >>https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/35973 Hopefully we could reduce cost through volume.
Mod experts please fall in! We are looking for a candidate who has relevant skill set to maximize the potential of this beast.
Prerequisite:
have experiences in advanced-expert level of flashlight mod. High AMP, HIGH output, multi-emitter conversion... those kind of crazy stuffs.
able to custom hardwares (e.g copper pill or driver design) if required.
has a stockpile of flashlight components ready to deploy.
ability to take decent sharp photos or even a short video.
So someone with a fancy camera, good lighting, parts on hand, a lathe, and a lot of time on their hands? HmmâŚ.
FWIW, if BOSS requires any custom pills or heatsinks to be made to handle heat transfer, then it will be hard to find a lot of buyers I think. It needs to be solidly built from the factory to be popular. Even among the people like me that âmodâ everything in some way, few have the ability to make significant structural changes to the lights.
Does anyone know if this manufacturer is sold at the usual BLF stores, banggood, gearbest, fasttech, DX?
Canât we just ask them to stock it, if we are lucky more than one are already buying from this manufacturer and then we can expect some competition, like on the Olightâs
Just send a sample to Dale i canât imagine he wouldnât like it and would not enjoy pushing the BOSS to itâs limit, and he is the resident mod wizard around these parts
