Thanks Jason i read your nice review.I had the m3 5C. It is too warm but i like it.What you think about the tint xpl 1A in the m3 pro?Is it more throwing? and the rate off charging?
I’m not sure what you mean by the tint being more throwing. It’s small OP reflector does a good job of throwing, just like all the tints. I prefer CW and the tint seems fine to me. There’s no blue in it.
The charging rate is 1A. I reported 0.94A in my review.
Both emitters use the same size die, so throw should be the same. I checked my old xml2 M3 and new xpl M3 Pro on the low setting and they got exactly the same candela.
Depending on what lux meter you use, the warmer tint may have a slightly lower reading. I know my HS1010A lux meter reads NW about 5% lower than CW.
The M3 is really not a thrower type of light. It’s more for close up use in my opinion.
The UI is unchanged from the old model. It’s still press/hold for on/off. Single clicks to cycle through the modes - moon, low, med, high. Dbl clk for turbo, etc…
The big update for 2018 is the built in charging.
If you want to use Freeme’s code, you have to follow his link.
At present I don’t know if the clip is automatically included. Ask them about the clip before paying.
I can’t comment on the 5C version’s color. I bought the CW and it seems fine.
Thanks mate. I just ordered the full pack in warm white for 24 euros. Will probably the warmest light I’ll ever own, but it might be kinda nice for indoor to improvise cozy light.
