ENEDED

Tom Tom, can you add what light your testing near the top?
Nichia or xpg3, version 2.

What level is high on your light, 3000 lumen?

Version 2 Nichia.

Levels as stated in datasheet (but implausible)

i.e:

Low 70 lm
Med 700 lm
Med1 1100 lm
High 6800 lm (highly implausible, stories are that this is now more like 3000 lm, and a good thing)
Turbo 11526 lm, (a rather precise 5 digit number, but believable, it is very bright indeed, for 120 seconds max.

52840 cd, 450m beam.

Seriously, once it starts to step down, Med1 is about as much as you can hope for.

Start off brightly and rely on step-down to look after it and you can maybe count on 30-40 minutes total duration.

Be cautious and never go above Med1, you might get 4 hours.

High, be it however many lumens, anyway steps down to something like Med 1 after half an hour, from a cold start, then you might eke a total of 2 hours out of it after that. Better not bother, just limit yourself to Med1 or less.

Spare box of cells needed for this to be any use to me in my application, but changing them in the field would be yet another head-ache, with that carrier.

Nice torch, but too much trouble. EC4S plus backup, and spare cells, will do a better job for me. And Q8 out-blasts it by far, for concentrated throw.

Anyone UK want to buy it ? Send PM.

I have posted my results before and i think they are fairly accurate low 34 lumens,med 740 lumens,med1 1420 lumens,high 2980 lumens,turbo 11,280 lumens.

Did you get precise figures once stepped down ?

Turbo, and High, seem to step down pretty hard, maybe to similar levels, then when they do they don’t look much higher than Med 1, but it is impossible for me to say without measurement stuff.

I may be being too pessimistic.

Between 2000 and 2100 lumens on stepdown.

Thanks, that makes sense, a tiny bit more than Med 1 visually (but maybe half the runtime), very safe temperature.

I have nichia v1 and my findings are:
Ambient temperature and flashlight 20 degrees Celsius. Runs high (5100 lumens) 4minutes and then drops to 1750lumen at 43 degrees Celsius head temperature. After the fall, the amount of light remains constant and the temperature drops 0.1 degrees every 30 seconds. Mid mod brightness is 1270 lumens ie 30-35% less than after stepdown

Who is aiming for this? Loading is slow for this page, please take note if you are interested.

Me not so sure. Already spent USD80 tonight.
High probability can’t snap it at all.

It says “snap up coming later”
What time is “later”?
If it has not started, what time in US Pacific time will it start?
Thanks

Unfortunately I already bought on Nov 4. If not I’d give this a shot.

Dang, that deal is over? Dang!! I would have... Was that V2?

I spent like $120+ already at BG, but can't even get my order history to come up. The site is really slowwwwww.

I would have jumped on it also. Bummer.

Site has been slow for the past few hours but at least it is not completely down.

Banggood has been slow the last 9 hours, ever since the 11.11 sale started.

Well I managed to snap up the V2. Now I’ve got two on the way. Feels like over kill.

So that deal is definitely over? Boy, still can't see my order history on BG - after spinning, comes up with an error. The site is pretty useless now

All sold out before 2359hr (GMT+8). Similar deal should be available during this coming BLACK FRIDAY SALE.

I hope so I’ll have a chance then to get one
