Damn it! Mine is on its way. So is the DD 504 a mimic / copy
if you have your dropin secured in place with strips of cola can, it won't slide out from the front and you can use this lantern without the "head" part
i have posted photos of this with my 504b and i can replicate it on l2i
it won't screw down all the way but it works ok (even transfers heat away)
Got mine today.
Tried on on my 501: Not even close
503b fits but wont screw all the way down but works.
Uniquefire R5 screws further down and works
L2T same as 503b

Am I the only one where it fits perfectly on a 501 (B and C)? You guys all seem to unscrew the black bezel part that came with mine.
I haven't unscrewed the adapter thing (tried it but it was no good) but it wont fit either of my 501's. But I got mine from MF and don't have the old version.

It fits my 504 from dd without the adaptor. It does not fit well with the adaptor.
