Flat-top 18650 battery pushed in.

I had this issue with my s2 and my s2+
I tried the magnet, but the pressure on them caused the magnet to shatter :frowning: luckily it didnā€™t cause the torch to short out the circuit board

I was using laptop pulls, I still do, but instead of pulling the nickel tabs off, I leave them on and fold it back over the bit that is spot welded to the battery
The double thickness of the nickel tab spreads the impacted load of the spring and stops the battery top or bottom getting dented

Just found out that these cells are tested UL1642

Really tuff these little batteries, tuffer than a vaperā€¦over a ton of force in the crush test wow :open_mouth:

Probably not but most of my laptop pulls have copper shelf soldered on or a big blob of solder. I thought this was common practice. Obviously don't attempt this if you don't know what you're doing.

Be careful.
