Firstly, thank you for being awesome and for all the long hours and skill you have applied to making this thing happen. I’ve only been on the forums for a short time, but I have seen your name everywhere, and I think any light with your name attached is going to be on my “buy” list.
If Neal hasn’t worked out any way to limit quantities, would it be detrimental to the community/Neal/etc if someone were to order more than they asked for on the list? It seems there is no way to prevent this, but perhaps a request from the FW3A Team to “stick to your quantities” would be enough for the kind people here…
On the off chance that it doesn’t hurt anyone, I probably would order an additional one if this is possible. I’m sure Lumintop wouldn’t mind selling more lights. I’m WAY down on the list, so I figure I’m probably going to have to wait anyway. I haven’t had to wait like many on the list, so I see it as just taking my turn.
Being realistic here, it is a decent buy at $50 (by my calculations) so with general availability for purchase at that price we will probably have people buying out of turn anyway.
Probably, yes. If the amount is small, it is probably okay. But please stay close to the number on the list and don’t try to order a large amount. That would make problems for other people on the interest list.
Private messages are going out now, with coupon codes and information about how to make a purchase.
Since the process is spread out over time, it has a delay between each message. It looks like it’ll probably finish going through the list in about 41 hours.
These messages are sent in the same order as the interest list, so if you’re near the top you should get a message soon. If you’re near the bottom, it’ll probably be tomorrow.
To give people a bit more time to sign up, I plan to update the list again tomorrow and run a second batch of messages after the first one finishes.
