That is exactly how you’d do it. Unless you buy the item within seconds after the hour, you won’t be buying it.

As an example, I just bought the cell phone holder the team posted for .11 $. Purchased it about 3 seconds after the hour (order submission), and the item was sold out a few seconds afterwards (all of them). And this is for an item where the overall savings compared to the regular price would be like 1-2 bucks.

The cart is the only way to purchase a flash sale, coupon or limited offer item, afterwards you’d still have to go through shipment/order page and then paypal processing.

I do what serp mentioned above, set your computer clock to a time server that is accurate re: UTC. I found that the apple time signal is 100% accurate to the Gearbest deals, for example “Apple Europe (time.euro.apple.com.)” and enable “seconds” and flashing separators on Mac OS.
When the promo slot comes up, count down yourself for the last 10 seconds while watching the clock and being with the cart, and then click through the cart. It is a real adrenaline rush like an order fill when buying/selling stocks

The “countdown” on the website is only an indicator when you can click through in the cart; when I use Chrome and Firefox (on the same promo portal) both show different times for the items (and sometimes, like in your case, keep counting even after the sale is through).

edit: the real pro’s hit the cart at about xx:xx:58.5 so the refresh is on the hour and you’ll be first in line for the order submission. you’ll have to be exact and a bit lucky though.

My computer clock is within 5 seconds with the time.is and it’s sync’d with the Windows/Microsoft server (updates once a week). Time on my computer was fine while promo countdown on the Gearbest sale was showing that I still had comfortable 9 minutes.
