Not making good on an order, basically telling people, “Sorry, you’re just out of luck, not our problem”, when a package doesn’t arrive, would probably scare off lots of people.

I can imagine, do that and save 10-20bux on one order, but lose thousands of bux when people get too scared to order anything anymore. That wouldn’t make much sense.

So like I said, I hope that’s not true, and I hope you just mis-read the email.

2 of the 4 orders from back in September that haven’t show up yet, have contained knives.

As far as I know, there’s nothing illegal about them, and in the past I’ve ordered and received knives just fine, as have lots of others here, but it seems like a strange coincidence that someone else reported the same thing in a different thread, and that coincidence has me concerned.

So I was wondering if anyone reported any problems receiving knives, as in maybe now they’re verboten to ship.

Seems to be having the same blade shipping issue here… It only happened for recent orders. Can only wait and monitor what’s happening next.

Sorry this happened to you. Unfortunately insurance is for the shipper, not the recipient, and it’s the shipper that should be paying for it because as you found out, you’re not entitled to the insurance claim. Fortunately you can make a Paypal claim. Is the weight of the package shown on the packaging material? That should make it obvious that the package was shipped without contents.

I’m waiting on two knives from mid October, and a few other things like Nitecore Tubes. I’ve received things from Gearbest and the same shipper from orders placed both earlier and later, so I have no idea why some packages are taking a long time to arrive.

I fully agree. The insurance ain’t worth any money. I have had the same negative experience with Gearbest’s support (lost power bank shipment) and only thanks to PayPal I got my money back.

Currently, I have the problem that the battery that came with a flashlight only has 500mAh instead of the labelled 2400mAh.

It's gonna be 'fun' dealing with them again.

my only solace is knowing the increased volume of mail this time of year, just adds time to everyone’s orders. I start to get restless tho, with 7 orders out there and more deals show up….makes you think twice about placing another order until you get your stuff

Wellp, anyone can make a mistake…

For example, a while back, I ordered a bunch of drivers from Fasttech. I ordered a bunch of 2.1A drivers, 2.8A drivers, etc., and one driver, it was a single 700mA driver instead. Like instead of 5 × 2.8A ones, I got by mistake 4 × 2.8A and 1 × 700mA. Someone could have just accidentally dropped a smaller driver in the bin with the bigger ones, that’s all.

So, I wrote them, explained the situation, took a pic of the contents of the envelope as delivered (I made sure all the SKUs on those orange stickers were facing up and visible), and that was that. I asked about sending back the small one, and they said not to worry, just keep it and they’ll give me credit for the driver that I should have received.

So, they made a mistake, sure, but they made good on it, and I even got a “bonus” 700mA driver! :laughing:

See? That’s how you win loyal customers. So I hope that would be the situation for you, that once you explain the situation, GB would make good on it, just like FT would. Right?
