They are lightweight aluminum, so I don’t think the edge would hold, and you might even screw up the cutting geometry in the process.

Mine are Stainless Steel (Stamped and coated) made by Maratac, I agree that aluminum wouldnt hold an edge… nor cut through much (not coins for sure).
and never look back. I own a few, and carry the round pointed one as an EDC for prolly 20 years now +. That would be the ‘standard’ model. Outstanding quality. No multi-tool scissor that I’ve ever come across including Leatherman comes close.

Yeah, Lumatic, Im currently eyeing either foldable Slip-N-Snips/Fiskars foldable or ETM ones or perhaps both, but as far as it concerns EMT scissors I have no idea at the moment which ones besides Maratac offerings are worth their money and not being crap.

Well, yeah, but Im not going to use them for EMT specific tasks, so I wouldnt want to throw them away once they need resharpening, because getting decent ones over here cost alot with shipping outside US 
These go for around 4$, pitty there are none left for 2$ people reported buying them for about a year ago or something?
Before I opened this thread, I had SwissCard copy on order, you can get one for around 3.3$, IMO well worth their money for such little tool, scissors are decent and cut through things well!
Still looking for something moar, might as well get myself fake and original Micras OR fake Micra and original Style CS 
The leatherman CS is a great tool, I have both the scissors and the pliers version.
Which dollar store do you get these at? I'm building up some first-aid kits to carry in the vehicles and would like to add a pair to each of them.
Dollar general has them in the tools section.
Seen those for something like 8-9$, too expensive for what they are and you dont know whether these are genuine or just a copy, might as well get SOG CrossCut for around 18$ shipped worldwide instead
If you’re mostly interest in the scissors part, search for “folding scissors” and you’ll find a lot of small/thin but usable dedicated designs.
