Got your Ultrafire UF-H2 from Dinodirect ? Just share your experience here with us

Got my 2 UF-H2 from this deal yesterday. Actually arrived last thursday, been away though. Both came in the boxes in an envelope, no damage at all. One has a slight mark on the inside of the lens but doesn't affect the beam in any way. I already have one from KD for about a year now, stuck to fridge, so knew what I was getting. The UF-H3, which is in my tool bag, would have been nicer for run time but price was good for these.

First time dealing with DD, was iffy after reading about them both here and "the other place" Sealed, but their email updates and his posting here, I think I'd try them again on the other "deal" thread.

Got my UF-H2 today, really nice little light. Great anodizing job. Threads came clean and lubed, very smooth. Knurling is grippy (Pro). Ordered 10/20 arrived 11/7.
I noticed mine has “UF-H2 B” written on the bottom, what does the “B” stand for? I noticed other models had a “D”.

how much did you guys pay? :)

They tested the lights but you think they actually know what SOS is supposed to be? ;-)

Although I have to agree with 2100 though. Beyond the fact the SOS probably doesn't really have the range (and the lamp the battery life) to be that useful, no one is going to ignore your signal because it's OSO instead of SOS. Most people won't even realise. Those who do like SAR teams are not going to ignore you because you're signalling wrong. I guess one minor disadvantage is OSO theoretically will have lower battery live then SOS. (I presume you mean real OSO and SOS not OSOSOS or SOSOSO)

P.S. Just to be clear as with others I'm not saying you aren't entitled to be disappointed, just that it's not really that surprising and doesn't make that big a difference to the functionality.

+1

Sounds like it was $16.88 after discount coupon (so you could use Dinopoints or giftcard but no more coupons) http://www.cpfmarketplace.com/mp/showthread.php?254815-Pretty-incredible-deal-on-the-Ultrafire-UF-H2-16-88

good info, thank you!

( tsss.. it's a thread in the group buy forum section and i dont see anything wrong with the post and still the thread gets closed and the poster banned. this is clearly discrimination of DD and of all other dealers or members who dont have a concurrent paid subscription on cpfmp )

Not that I agree with the way it was handled but I'm guessing DD being banned a long time ago (fairly or unfairly) in both the marketplace and CPF in general didn't help keep it open http://www.cpfmarketplace.com/mp/showthread.php?242095-DinoDirect-50-off-Whole-Store-World-Wide-Free-Shipping/page6

BTW it seems this deal was also run here before in CPFmarketplace. https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/2931 I'm not actually sure if the CPFmarketplace one went thru or it didn't get enough people due to the banning, from the thread it's probably the later. Given the relative success here this add to the idea running it here again may work, even with DD's not that great reputation. I for one would be interested, I missed the previous one but doubt I would have bought it anyway. It was only when I was working under the house putting up cables with my Olight I3s that I realised:

1) ~80 lumens or whatever is actually plenty bright already so I don't actually need anything a lot brighter as I had been thinking. Actually my Dolphin lattern (which from the bulb colour, perhaps doesn't even have a Xenon) doesn't actually seem that much better.

2) It can be fairly annoying trying to shine a light and hammer in nails at the same time and it's not that easy to shine a light in the right direction without holding.

To be fair, I'm hoping the AA lantern I'm getting from DD will be useful. But I read a few weeks ago someone suggesting a headlamp for this sort of thing and it seemed from my experience that it might work well, since of course my head was normally pointed in the direction where I was hammering. And I definitely want something supporting an AA or something similar. Somehow the idea of sticking a li-ion to my naked head (I might consider one for a bicycle helmet lamp) just doesn't appeal.... (Yes I do use a mobile phone although I don't actually have many call. But I trust LG more then I trust *fire or even AW. And of course it's not just the battery but the integrated protection, monitoring and charging.)

Same here, I dont trust generic Li batteries when they are strapped to my head or in my pocket or bag!

LG and other big companies test their batteries very well before releasing them on the market.

Sure, sometimes sh*t happens and some cell phones or laptops self-ignite, but its more of a gamble when dealing with risky stuff like Li batteries in shoddy flashlights and all the precautions and attention needed to charge them.

Waiting for another H2 group buy!
