Headlamp with tight beam?

I think we are actually on the same page. But you are inadvertently perpetuating a fallacy. How can people dislike a 3000k high CRI headlamp that doesn’t exist? Let’s assume this trail has rocks and roots and leaves and little ankle twisting holes. You need to be processing foot placement two three four steps out and looking down the trail. A light with a more focused beam or hotspot is just going to introduce more angles and edges and perceived movement to your field of vision as that light/spot bounces wildly in front of you. So less spill is not the answer. Less light bouncing off of tree trunks and live leaves on the trees is a good thing. Being able to distinguish between the rocks and dried-up brown leaves on the ground is a good thing. Beam shots are one thing. The real world is entirely different. I think part of the problem is that everybody “knows” that higher tints throw “better”. I think that needs a lot more discussion but in a different thread.
