How did we do? (FastTech.com)

DumBulb, shouldn't that question be directed towards CREE or the other LED manufacturers?

exactly my thoughts

@DumBulb I think Jasmine works in customer support department (and she is doing a great job if I may say so) she does not manufacture the LEDs, that is a question for CREE or respected manufacturer...

Thanks for the reply. As I do not wish my nickname/username to appear in searches (I use a different nickname as this), I would like custom names for reviews.

Yeah and I also want to be able to edit reviews.

I agree.
The problem is the LED makers don’t give out this info so easily and Jasmine is sort of an ‘insider.’ Maybe she has a line to an Applications Engineer and so this may be rare opportunity.
And on this forum she is speaking to an audience, not just to me, so her answer has more effect on more people.

She can always bow out. It’s one of those situations where she’d get praised for doing it and not condemned for not doing it.

Yeah, you guys seem pretty happy with this company. Good.

I would suggested bringing up the "LED lifetime vs. junction temp" as a separate topic here on BLF, as I imagine there are quite a few guys here that have the answers.

I hope. One graph will do!

Can someone try this:

-> fasttech.com -> New Arriwals -> March 4

there are 144 new products added but I can see only 100 of them!

5 columns x 20 rows, no "Next page" link at the end of page!!!

I have made some orders on knives and flashlights. So far im very pleased

The shipping have been very fast, and when I asked about an item that was out of stock I got a quick answer.

Hmm, I see the same. Must have a hard cap at 100 with no pagination.

congrats, a bug found
search for “klom”then click sort by price search again and now it is there….so there are 144 items but only 100 are visible…

by the way:the columns depend on your browser setting strg+ for less……

I’m seeing this too.

One way to bypass this for now would be to open two pages, one sorted by price ascending and the other in reverse. The you can see all of them. But FT better fix this or they’ll lose the intended audience for new products.

Sorry about this. We’re going to have this corrected now. While on the topic, we’ve been focusing on order fulfillment lately to avoid shipping delays caused by post-CNY supply issues (still) so we’ve been slow on new products. Frankly looking at our charts order fulfillment has gone well with 98%+ orders shipped within schedule. We are expecting to resume our regular new product listings schedule within a few days.

14 days from order date to my door. not horrible

one thing would be nice, as not many sellers do it, would be specify what die the XRE emitters are. ez900 vs ez1000. not sure if you would know by what you order or if you would have to look at every emitter one by one. but it would save on the lottery gamble of not knowing if possible. got an ez1000 with no use for it. not your fault, but if economically feasible, would be nice to know the die size before ordering…

may be asking too much, but thanks for listening

That’s interesting for me because I had looked at that, then in the end decided to order the other one instead. My reasoning for that was because of the air space and the use of the O rings. I felt the air space, while being lighter, might also allow for marginally better heat dissipation of the battery as I suspect the other sleeve does not employ thermally conductive plastic which would then turn it into an insulator. And I thought perhaps the O rings would provide for a better fit in the Spark SX5 that I will be using it in. I’ll report back if anyone is interested, but perhaps the little bit of space may not be bad, maybe it will promote enough micro convection to promote a better cooling coefficent?

Just a quick note, we ran through our inventory after seeing the ticket and found all of them to be >18mm (between 18.10mm to 18.35mm). The bad one that was shipped to @ ThatNinjaGuy is likely an isolated case.

Yes, thank you. I forgot to add that to this thread. I received a quick response with a resolution.

I still find it interesting that the diameters vary quite a bit. Now that you’ve taken the time to measure your stock, I think the internal diameter should be updated on the product page to better reflect the actual product.

I must have won the lottery and received the elusive 16650 to 26650 adapter.

$13.92 light meter before discount ($13.22 after)… with 200klux, and even Min and Max function!

http://www.fasttech.com/products/1/10003840/1274500-hs1010-illuminance-brightness-light-meter

I wish I didn’t have a luxmeter already… haha. I would absolutely love to have a Max lux record function. Ever mentally calculating while keeping the beam steady, trying to remember the max value? Ever having to squint to see the lux when measuring @10m? Now you don’t have to, for $14.

Dang, I thought nothing would beat wallbuys 50% price. Now this beats that with more features to boot.

Though, being newly introduced, I’m afraid to ask if this is a pricing mistake. Hope not.

+$1.44 for fast/er shipping via HK po. totally worth it...

Jasmine - Can you say when you will have the Nitecore EA8 Caveman in stock? Please please please do a special deal? This will be a very popular light, you will see many.

+ min $35 for 8 pcs AA batteries -> no thanks... and about 1/2 kilo of weight! who's going to carry that around...
