I have found that the XM-L emitter dome does not hold up well to the tip of a hot soldering iron.
Still functions, but the hotspot is totally wacky.
Which brings the question, how did they reflow the emitter, with the dome and all, in SMD line? I mean, those ovens goes to 230C, and even higher on lead free paste.
