Looking for Cree XM-L T6 1-Mode LED Drop-in

I know some are happy with their Solarforce drop-ins but I've never liked them. I have an under-performing P7 that competes in brightness with a Mag-Lite Solitaire, an SST-50 I've fried twice and of the two single-mode XM-Ls I have; the one that still works is just a tad brighter than my Tank E07.

Maybe I'm just unlucky . . .

Well this is disappointing. I just ordered a 1-mode SolarForce module because of its good reputation, and lack of finding anything else that would fill my need.

There just has to be a company out there that produces a P60 drop-in XML T6 single-mode that is regulated and well driven in the 3v-18v range.....or is it just in my dreams......

I have also bought quite many. R5 was first, have sold R2 also. Now have bought at least 3 XM-L 3-modes for friends, no breakdowns yet.

Like I said, I'm probably in the minority. Most people have good things to say about SF drop-ins. Boaz calls me a lumen whore so, maybe there's more to a good drop-in than output.

I'm with you on the lumen whore. I don't want to waste my time with a 3v-18v 1-mode drop-in if it doesn't rock the night with a single candle.
