Agreed. Given how 10,000 lumens lasts for only a few seconds and about 8,000 for 15 seconds, they shouldn’t have tried to drive the emitters that hard. How many people are really falling for “10,000 lumens!” as a buying decision? We’ve already seen that game played and enough people should’ve figured it out by now.
If I were to get an FW21 Pro, I’d never drive it that high. But, given what happened with phosphor falling off, who knows what the threshold is?
Thank you very much for your photos tatasal, I am looking forward to someone to make a review of this flashlight, I am very tempted to decide for it, after seeing your photos I am already convinced, to see if someone could put any photo at different distances.
Thanks and best regards.
Yeah, I actually meant neutral white on the 5000k, as opposed to cool white. But I wouldn’t mind going down to 4000k at the sacrifice of a hundred or so lumens.
Agreed, it is a great little light for the Max output it has. If you keep the setting for the ceiling below 31 clicks, the ceiling is full regulated and you still have a nice jump to turbo if needed. My first Anduril light, and I like the UI after playing with it for a bit.
tatasal thanks so much for these wonderful comparison shots! :+1: i’m on the market for a ‘floody’ 21700 EDC.
would LOVE to see a Lumintop FW21 Pro with 3 SST-20 4K emitters.
i own a S2+ with SST20 4K (driver is borked), and a C8+ with XPL HI U6-4C 4200-4500K
of the two i prefer the SST20. the XPL HI is as cool as i would want to go. it’s white without being blue, but suffers a bit of green.
both do actually when on a white surface.
