That spindle speed it super slow
Its great for threading, I took the single phase motor of and put a 3 phase with vfd;
I can go from 5 rpm to 2500,much smoother as well .the Chinese vfd talks a little though
Hi another small update.
ok the batteries arrived ,I decided to engrave the battery tube rather than knurl it.
and finally put all the parts in the tumbler for the afternoon
I hope they turn out ok
A little vid of the engraving
well several hours in and looked like nothing was happening ,so I gave the parts a buff up
came up ok. assembled all the components
pictured with a few other builds.
so 15 amps is ok I guess.
will try for a beam shot of the shed later…
Nice video. Do you allow for the diameter in the programming?
So you’re not planning on changing the led… ever
Ooh, okay then 15 amps will have to do won’t it
Looks good :+1:
mrs dnf
this guy explains the process
pp the idea of a longer tube for 6v and a 6vled did come to mind
but i’am just trying to use stuff that I had.
Ok one more pic of the light
the reflector is fairly deep probably as deep as it is wide.
a few nearly dark shots
first up the moon.
and of course the shed and down beside the house
I’am fairly happy with how this has turned out
thanks for watching.
