*** NEW *** Imalent RT70/RT35

I’ve had my RT70 for two weeks now and it’s fantastic. Build quality is high, I love the switch. Very impressive beam and the right amount of spill for me.

To me the RT70’s beam is too close to that of the L6. Hot spot is tighter, but spill angle seems to be pretty much the same. This is based on the beamshots of this review:[Review] Imalent RT70 good long-range search light (XHP70.2 + 4x18650 on 5500 lumen and 903m)
Nevertheless, the total package of the RT70 and RT35 is just very attractive. Great compact form factor with nice machining and built in charging. And the fact it’s 4P batteries also mean it’s a safe form of charging. And the price is just right.

But hey, you know there is also the Lumintop SD75: an absolute tank with power bank function… :sunglasses:

I bought the RT70 before really looking into the L6 properly. I understood the L6 to be a wall of light flooder. Whereas the the RT70 was mostly a thrower with a wider hotspot and more spill (which is more usable to me than say the beam of the RT35). Overall I am really happy and out of all my brighter lights (M43, Q8, MF01, D1S, RT70) it’s my favourite design. All the proportions are perfect.

I wonder why RT35 is so little popular?
The price with the discount code is at the MF02 level. Power, range also practically the same. However, it has several advantages over MF02:

- Weight (much smaller)

- Batteries without a basket, in addition in a parallel connection (for me it’s an advantage)

- Size, really compact.

- Price

  • Charging on board (for me emergency but better to have than not to have)

The only thing that goes to the head is the company’s reputation. But maybe RT35 will not be defective?
Honestly, I’m really thinking about buying, I just need a little push.

I really like it too, and I’m also cautious with Imalent. But here’s a push for you: I don’t read about defective RT35/70 lights, which was the case with the DT/DN series and DX80 lights.
The driver of the RT lights are user replaceable and is fixed with screws, and not with glue. Whether Banggood/Imalent will send you a replacement driver in case you need it is not known, so you might want to ask about that.

I’m personally just not in need of a thrower, and I know I’m not going to use it too often when I’m out in the woods. But if I’m going to get one anyway, then my guess is that it’s going to be a compact one like the RT35.

It’s just weight and compactness that appeals to me. Earlier I thought about TN42 but it is much bigger, heavier and more expensive. I really think that RT35 would be perfect …. I’m just waiting for the opinions of people who have it.

Can’t speak for the 35 but very happy with my RT70

I’m very happy with my RT70

60lm mode is +200lm instead, and my sphere and luxometer shows 4500lm and 700m

На моем IMALENT RT35 сгорел драйвер. Где я могу купить драйвер RT35?

I would contact the vendor. If they cannot sell you a driver, then I would contact Imalent: sales@imalent.com
Good luck!

Google translate: Я бы связался с продавцом. Если они не могут продать вам драйвер, я бы связался с Imalent: sales@imalent.com
Удачи!
