From what I’ve found online, MiTek/MTX acquired DCM in 1999. Over the years, they shut down the original DCM manufacturing facilities and transferred production to MTX facilities. Many of the DCM models were also discontinued and replaced with MTX designs, but still sold under the DCM brand name. MiTek owns a lot of different audio brands that they’ve amassed over the years.
From what I understand, these DCM TP160S were an original DCM design, now discontinued. Someone bought the remaining stock and is now selling it on ebay.
2019-2020 deer season opens tomorrow (archery) so I got a new toy for that! Gun week isn’t till December but I need to put some lead down range before hand to get used to her. Can’t make it to the range this weekend, got another full weekend of tree jobs but by next weekend my Skinner sights will be here and I’ll get them installed and get out to the woods.
Marlin 1895 in .45-70 government
For deer I’ll be shooting these 325gr hornady rounds but for fun I’ll be slinging 405’s!
It's basically the same model, but six years newer.
When I have my laptop hooked up to it, I can see that the image quality is way better with the newer model.
Not everything is an improvement, however.
The new TV doesn't have a headphone jack, so I had to order a Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC).
Also, the new TV's built in stand isn't as convenient as the old TV.
I haven't used the new TV very much so far, and I won't be able to until I get my DAC, so I'm sure there are other differences that I haven't noticed yet.
(I almost always watch TV with headphones.)
It's really weird not being able to watch TV because that's where I get my news.
I feel I'm out of the loop not knowing what's going on around the world.
For the record, I’m not a speed cuber. It takes me about a minute to solve the 3x3x3 using the beginner’s algorithms. But it’s a lot of fun, even if I know I’ll never reach competition level.
OK now I’m starting to become convinced. I guess my greatest fear is one of the balls becoming detached and ending up in my dog’s stomach. But I’m probably underestimating how strong the magnets are.
