This is the one I got from GearBest. If BG has updated their version to the latest one, I will be definitely interested in getting more.
i think gearbest inventory system is just stuffed they do not keep track of orders properly!!! it also doesn’t help that they take so long to process orders… so the computers think they have stock left and process the payment and then they relise no stock left when they go to pick the orders…
just happen to me a few weeks ago i purchased the HG2 its been like 3 week wait extra from my order date!
here in australia when i worked at a warehouse we knew where every thing was and how many items where left its a control issue i guess?
So is there any difference between the blue and red themed ones, besides the color?
After a fast web search, I was unable to find anything about “new” and “old” version of the M22. However, the old reviews from 2013 all show red latched case and red O-rings on the lights. And since there’s no info about any changes or new/old version, I assume the only difference is the color. Lately Olight has been coming up with a lot of blue themed stuff in their lights, so maybe they just updated the color theme of the M22 to match the other new lights. They used to use the red O-rings in many of their lights before… and the black O-rings before that.
So if you want the older, red themed one, you should search for a vendor with some old stock.
The M22 is a great light!!!
One of the best finished flashlights that I know! Outside AND inside!
I like the service/support of BG, they have a similar offer!
The BG-Code for this flashlight is BGLFC - 33,96$
Thanks, that coupon made me buy it
I have an Olight M22 purchased last year and one bought (from Banggood) last month. Both plastic cases have blue latches; the newer case is identical to the one pictured in freeme’s post #20, the older one has different, and red-themed, images on each side. There are cosmetic differences between the two lights.
The earlier production M22 has a red o-ring around the reflector; the words “HOT SURFACE” appear on one side of the removable bezel, the words “CREE XM-L2” appear on the opposite side. The newer light has a blue o-ring and the only (more subdued) words on the bezel are “HOT SURFACE.” On the older M22, the Olight logo appears directly above the word “OLIGHT” on one side of the body; rotating the light 180 degrees the words “M22 WARRIOR” appear directly above the serial number. The newer M22 has a different style Olight logo on one side directly in front of the word “OLIGHT” in larger letters than the older light. Rotating the light 180 degrees and reversing its direction, you see a large “M22” followed by (in smaller letters) “WARRIOR” with the serial number below the word WARRIOR.
There are also some differences between the contents of the older and newer cases: The instruction manuals are different; the older one in both English and Chinese, the newer one only in English. There was an Olight warranty card inside the older case; there was no warranty card inside the newer case. The older M22 came with a much longer, silver paracord lanyard with a metal clip; the newer M22 came with a much shorter, black nylon lanyard with a loop for attaching it. Inside the newer case is a little brochure depicting various Olight flashlights.
And thank you for a nice comparison between the red/blue versions
