Olight M22 Warrior- Review

Hi,
This flashlight suck a lot of current on turbo, even a good quality 18650 can not maintain max constant output more than 7-10 minutes, when is at ~3,8V must recharge to have full power on turbo.

I use 2x18350 IMR Xtar 850 mAh (I don’t know for sure if the circuit is overstress) and results are great so far, visible more output (I would say ~800+ lumens vs ~900+ lumens with 2x18350) and constant at to the end. Even at ~3,5V with 18350 on turbo is max output.
On med I have more than 1 hour constant output.
Charged only at ~3,85V stay (till now) 1 hour on medium and is still able to go on full turbo

This is normal. With two batteries in series the voltage is always over the LED Vf and it’s easier for the driver to maintain max output.
The M22 is compatible with 2xRCR(18350). You can use them without concerns.
Congrats to your choice. M22 is a very good flashlight. 8)
The only problem I had(two times) with it is loose retaining ring(on the tail cap).Check it often.

Thank you for your info
Indeed is a very good light, I liked it a lot, good finishing, in few words a high quality light.
In total dark is crazy bright, my friends was puzzled, so much light from such a small thing

I dedomed the led (not me) its over my expectations !! Now the light is a little more warm, the beam is more concentrated, I would say that on medium almost reach the distance from high before dedom (I don’t exaggerate ) , there are no artifacts or defects in the light.
If was rated at 22-23000 cd, now in my eyes appear aprx 40-45000 cd.

Compared with my Nitecore MT40 (rated at 32-34000 cd) now M22 throws further with 40-50 meters!

I’m very happy and I recommend this modification if you have the possibility, is almost the perfect flashlight: small/compact, neutral light, throw is very nice.
I run continuously with IMR 2x18350 (good runtime, full turbo to the end)

Thanks for the info Octavian.
It’s great to know that the M22’s reflector works well with a de-domed LED.
The peak beam intensity, really should be about double the cd of the stock LED.

Hi, outside in darkness is easy to see that throws a little further than Nitecore MT 40 (is the only flashlight from collection that I can compare in throw ) which is very very nice
And the light is warm, so nice…
The single big disadvantage is that is getting hot quickly (like many other small xm-l flashlights)
Below some pictures three meters from the wall, this is aprx what my eyes see (but is no greenish )

I will try also outside to make some photos.

I love the design of this torch, but I don't like the button which extends past the end, which translates to accidental activation in a pocket.

You can unscrew a little the tail and the button will don’t activate the light even if is pressed accidentally.
I always do this if I keep the light in pocket or backpack etc.

Side by side Olight M22 dd and Nitecore MT40, tree at aprx 100-110 yards.
Camera set at iso 1600, 1/5 sec, 55mm.

For sure 40-45000 cd.
What can I say…a compact little thrower

Nice tint as well.

Marc.
