If the ramp ceiling and a double click Turbo appear to be the same output, the cell choice could be the culprit. Some cells, especially protected cells, can’t deliver the higher Turbo amperage requirement.
I guess the $2 extra shipping I paid was for an extra trip around the parking lot at the Guangzhou航站 Guangdong shipping center—it seems it has been there since the 1st but finally has been accepted—-
Just received my mini GT. At first I kept measuring about 500 lumens with every battery I had and freaked out. Then I wiped down the springs with alcohol and got 1,140 turn on lumens using the TA lumen sphere. In comparison, my D1S measures 862 turn on lumens. I don’t know why it measured so low even after I wiped the springs with alcohol. The hotspot on the D1S is smaller than the Mini GT though. The Mini GT NW tint is actually as warm and rosier than the 5D D1S so it is definitely a 5D tint. Looks great.
Thank you Neal for quick dispatch, my NW just arrived in Melbourne, Australia. No trips around the car park for this one. It’s beaten some Bang good orders placed the week before I ordered the GT mini.
Tested with 3500mAh protected battery, nice little hotspot in well lit office, included 30Q is charging for after dark.
Javisst! Will have to charge up my old Canon G3 and take some snaps. Was lighting up some eucalyptus trees earlier this evening, comparing GT mini NW to ThorFire C8s which is quite cool. The NW brings out the browns and greens very nicely. Also received 4x VTC6 for Q8 to replace Imalent MRB-186P30. 750lux to 970lux with my Samsung phone ceiling bounce test
GT mini has joined ThorFire family with bastard step child cheapy UltraFire knockoff in the background
Quick question: I’m trying to set the moonlight mode to “1”. When I click to set “1” as the desired moonlight level, the light starts up brighter than the “default 3” level. When I click to set moonlight to “2,” it is noticeably dimmer than “3”. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks for the help and putting this buy together!
