Just heard from Amazon that the Novatac has shipped. Bit surprised, to be honest. Probably will take a couple of weeks to get here (estimated delivery 26th April to 17th May). Looking forward to seeing it.

I only order items from Amazon that are shipped by Amazon. If they're shipped by a reseller, I won't bother any more. I've had 4 purchases from "Amazon resellers" and they've all been either broken or counterfeit. I've received a refund for all of the items, but, I saw a bad pattern developing and I learned my lesson...
Ah. Just been looking on the other side. This thread, at post 22, is a little worrying. Might explain why the customer image posted the strange (i.e. non flashlight) image in the Amazon description.
This could get embarrassing as i am having my Novatac delivered to my daughters and she is bringing it over to Spain , i was going to get her to open it before bringing it to check it works , if you get yours before me please post
The more I think about it, the less likely it is going to be a DvD - that image was posted by a customer. I guess he might be a twisted & bitter CPF'er (yes, yes, I know, they all are lol), who remembers the Night Nurses story from a year or so ago. We'll soon see. I received my freebie Thrulite T20 from California this morning, shipped on Saturday, which was some going. Couple of weeks, we'll find out. I'll keep you posted.
Well, shows how much I know. Package arrived from supermart.com this morning - not a Novatac light, which I'd been looking forward to (but had the sense to hold off buying some RCR123's for), but a porn film - Night Shift Nurses (vol. 1).
Quite bizarre that this should happen on Amazon.uk a couple of years after the US experience. The images of the DVD cover were on the listing for the light, but had been added by a customer (I emailed Amazon and got them removed).
Only good news is that my DQG iii arrived in same post, or I would be really pissed off.
I bought the NovaTac Storm twice from Amazon for a ridiculously low price also both times the transaction was later cancelled and my money was refunded.
Was the movie any good?

. Don't really "get" anime. Kicked off the amazon complaints procedure, but will also write to their customer services directly (I'm shocked ... friends saw me open it ... think I'm a perv ...children in the house etc etc).
Interesting thing (well, not that interesting) is that if it was advertised as a DvD I think Amazon limits the shipping rates. This cost £4 something, which is way over their normal rates (I think - have to check).
Oh, and I've PM'd frigiliana, who was having it sent to his daughter's house. Some surprise.
I tried buying the same light as well off Amazon, but it did not go through. I was really bummed!
Many others have had similar experience. This listing has been up for a very long time, and typically listed as "unavailable".

The listing I see on amazon when I search for Novatec shows me this.
They even put a picture of the flashlight when its clearly a audio CD/music CD.
Yeah, and you'd get a $1 MP3 credit if it was in stock lol. What is going on with this light?

I have an original (USA made) Novatac 120P I purchased over 4 years ago at over $100. Still looks and works great. I have no experience with the company since it was sold or the Storm light, which looks very much like the 120P, but if it works at all, $13 is one heck of a deal. Good luck.
