RaceR`s BLING 14500 P60 light. Started out as a crappy 4.70$ light.

Racer should really announce a Giveaway cough

Ill show you the problem if you want to assemble it with a stock P60 reflector.

You see the threads that hold the bezel. If you would open up the front of the head enough for a stock P60 reflector to fit inside. those bezel threads on the head would not have much behind them.

Now, if you use the stock reflector (pictured) I can screw on the bezel 97%. There is a tiny, tiny gap. So if the glass lens was glued onto the bezel from the front, the P60 reflector could remain stock. The bezel would hold it the P60 nicely in place. But I prefer to not glue anything. And I don’t like gaps, even if they are tiny.

hehe… Ill take that as a compliment…
Once I finished the mod I was thinking that the day I reach 1000 posts (it will probably come some time, I have been active here lately) I can make a giveaway. But most likely on a black one with some nice parts…
The polished 1. edition is mine. Not sure if I will bother polishing another to that type of finish.

Looks great, you did an excellent job on it. Love it, makes me want to try one myself but I’m going to have to rent a storage building if I keep ordering lights.

On the other hand, if it was a giveaway, and I won, well, that’d be different! lol

What was the on stock led of this light?

Not sure what it was. Something really crappy.
I believe it looked just like a typical LED.

Usually, I keep most parts from flashlights. Just in case… But that LED went into the thrash right away.

Edit:
Its a reverse clicky. Not forward clicky (like DX specs say)

Thanks for feedback Dale. Appreciated!

I know his is old but hopefully some of your guys are sti checking in on it. I have some 14500’s I no longer have use for and I was considering this project and putting a UV drop in I have in it. I have a buddy who can turn the body for me no problem but I don’t know how he’ll feel about doing the reflector because it’s easier to damage. Would it be possible to sand down the front of the reflector instead of turning it on the lathe? I know it would be a lot more work but is it doable?

Full size P60 droping, 17mm driver?

Very nice build!

Looks fantastic!

Possible, probably. I would not recommend it though.. The reflector should be narrower than stock too if I remember correctly.. It would be a lot of sanding..

Love it!
Added to wishlist.
