Thanks for responding sb, your viewpoint is very appreciated. I am fine with leaving it as-is, and never intended it to ‘snowball’ into a gradual removal of post editing features.
Since it seems the issue of contests/giveaways is well handled with random selection, as well as diligent handling of trolls (i.e. don’t feed them when they bait) we will not have enough issues to be concerned about.
