Ha, well, if it’s going to create so much parasitic drain, it might as well use it to light up the LED a little bit. Did you by any chance ever insert the battery backwards? That was my mistake that made it never completely turn off after that.

Eh, I wish Lumintop released updated version of this light, came to think of it, it IS the best light out of all I have due to:
1)plenty output
2)decent modes(updated should have moonlight mode)
3)available in neutral(mine looks more like warm white tho, as Ive said it previously), updated light could come with more CREE led choices additionaly to XM-L2!
4)will take almost all commercially available batteries(need to provide your own adapters, easily DIY out of household items/deparment store items), just make it tiny bit wider so it could take 4xAA batteries too :D!
