I fixed the bezel retention with a little PTFE plumbing tape wrapped around before inserting. It’s funny, carrying this on my keys when I have much better lights. Maybe it’s the size, or maybe buyer’s remorse! 
I use JB on my cut down Minimags and with a press fit it doesn’t block the current. I’ve been wanting to make something like this since I first saw this review. Thanks for posting and adding the break down pics.
