Yes, it is a fairly straightforward mod, but sourcing parts at the right price hasn’t gone smooth today and have thrown in the towel for at least a few more hours! after spending a fair amount of time looking for cost affective parts.
Shipping makes it or breaks it. For what this forum is about! a budget light.

This led isn’t easy to buy mainly shipping costs djozz.
The only other led is the XP-E2 red led, or is there something better for a c8 upgrade in red led?

Yeah mate, Cutter sticks with actual parcel shipping. One emitter up to Sydney and they want $13-$16 or so (can’t remember right now). Pop it in a bloody envelope!
I don’t know of anyone else that does the kinds of emitters we like; there’s ledsales in TAS but all I wanted from him was some Yujis, didn’t have much else.
