if there is hi-med-lo mode setup
At least Hi, Low for longer run times.
Yea I’d buy some more if it had a few more modes maybe even better heat sinking.
There is almost no room in the tiny pill. Even an emitter swap is tough. I personally like the BLF348 as is, though a mode and a hole in the tail would be nice, how much more would it cost then? A $7-8 single mode AAA with high CRI is a rare thing already…
I am interested for sure, changes or not!
Not for me this time but thanks for asking. :+1:
More minimalist simplistic designs like this for the city dwellers please. A 1x AA/14500 version of this will be great. Keep the minimal diameter, the simple stainless steel cylinder, the NW LED, maybe recessed stainless steel switch-cap for tail-stand and you got a winner. Why doesn’t it exist yet?
+1 for a 1x AA version (or even 3x AAA) with moonlight mode for the nightstand. The single AAA size is too tiny to find at night!
Like this?
I like it
Is missing only 14500 battery
Ah… yes…
Doesn’t look easy to modify either, seems the business is put in there from behind.
That would like double the price to go from AAA to AA?
I would like to buy a load of this light but not in its current configuration.
I would prefer a 3-mode, or even just a 2-mode switch will be great.
i got some of them and they are great built i think my most used light … i would buy more if they come again
and i would buy even more if they come with more options like high med low
but they are really great as they are now
There won’t be any changes, sorry! The light will be exactly the same than in earlier GBs.
If enough people are interested in more complex light (more modes, maybe different tints), a separate GB can be arranged.
Honestly, that’d be the perfect light for me (219, 1-mode… yes!!), except I’d strongly prefer AA. Not terribly interested in 10440-based lights. Just personal preference…
ok, would rather add hi, med and low to ‘on and off’.
why is it so difficult for a 1xAAA to have brightness modes?
none of them seem to have it
or if they do it is only too-high and too-low…is it something about the 1.5V source, that makes it hard to do?
Probably uses a simple boost converter. It’s tricky enough to maintain a constant current at one level, let alone modulate it to high/low/strobe/etc. There’s just not enough real-estate on the driver to accommodate that.

Sorcerer! You read my mind!
I’m not a fan of AAA/10440… at all. Keep the ’348 but make it AA/14500, and I’m there!
And 1-mode for me, thanks.
Talking about stainless AA lights, I’ve got one of these:

At about 100 grams with battery it weels a bit weighty. It’s got a 12mm driver & led.
The pill has a shelf for the emitter.
While I love the 348, honestly how much cheaper could a GB really get them? They go on sale for $5-6 which is a very fair price IMHO. Sure cheaper is better but if it is only a buck off I think there are better options for a GB even though I would buy a few of these.

Very nice.
Sold out though…
New member here, been lurking for a long time….
I do not have a SF-348 or BLF-348 but I would definitely be interested!
