I notices that Fasttech sells both Fandyfire and SolarStorm SP03 and the declare the FF to 2 000 Lumen and the SS to 3020 Lumen. I vrote their customer service and asked them to explain the difference and they replied to me quite fast: “We will test the items and confirm the information, then we will update to you, thank you for your patience.”
I just received my Warrior with XML2 from Rik’s site for $45, and my first impressions are very good! Other than the slightly longer shipping than expected, which is probably due to a customs inspection (damaged box with yellow tape on the external envelope and internal envelope, post tracking shows it sat for a few days on entry into the US). It is slightly visually brighter than both the SRK and Kung that I have via daylight white wall bounce, the center hotspot is definitely more concentrated, with slightly less flood spill than the SRK (a lot less than Kung). It feels somehow a lot smaller than SRK, although it really isnt THAT much smaller, but the difference in feel in the hand and the pocket is definitely better. I also really like the variable output and momentary on (though I’d prefer to be able to manage momentary on time manually).
Without Texaspyro’s driver, I’d say SRK is eclipsed by this for sure, and Kung (if you can find a reliable dealer) is better for floody output, but if thats not what you are looking for, this outdoes Kung as well. Even though my total price each in the end for both SRK and Kung is less than half, I already feel like I’m going to be using Warrior when I dont want a long light to hike with at night.

Second batch just as good as first, same output, machining, anodizing, exactly the same.
Edit: Went outside to check output on 1 light from first batch and 2 lights from second batch. All are the same, no difference.
Thanks for the good report, good to hear. I decided to order another anyway. Should get it in about a week. I will now order a couple more, based on your experience, this is a very nice light at a very nice price.
Ordered the Warrior from FT yesterday and it shipped today.
It will be interesting to see how long it takes to show up to the USA.
I have some button top XTAR 2600’s I can borrow from other lights to test with, but will need to order some 18650 cells for it. Are button top cells hard on the ring that’s inside the head of these type of lights?
Was planning on ordering a couple of 2x packs of either Sanyo 2600’s or Trustfire Flame 3000’s (both protected) from FT. Any other good quality and reasonably priced button top or flat top recommendations are appreciated.
Go to wallbys and buy the 3100 protected Panasonic, choose 2 pairs, add to cart, enter coupon code wbqymonster, choose EMS USA shipping, total cost for 4 is $24.91.Wallbuys.com
Just so anyone that didn’t like the blue boots can see, the switch caps and battery indicators are all on a one piece gasket. I like the blue boots, but wanted to try a swap just for the forums interest. It’s too bad, although I suspected a one piece gasket, because I had a nice stainless steel cap for the large switch and a black one from FT for the smaller. The screws were really hard to get out as they seem to have some kind of white adhesive (Fujik?) on them.
I received mine yesterday, man does this thing burns and I do mean burns, pointed the beam at my hand (~1cm distance) and I can feel the heat after only 2-3 seconds, after 10 second it starts to be uncomfortable, I suspect that after 30-40 second my hand would start roasting
