With mine driven at 11 amps and de-domed it does 135kcd. Compared to the stock X6 which does around 45kcd. So a 135kcd one will throw 734 meters ANSI standard. Of course you wouldn’t want to de-dome it but if you upgraded the driver you would get more sales and it would throw further.

So basically my guestimate is that if you had a true 9 amp driver it might do 90kcd max which is 600 meters ansi throw. Or if you just want 500 then around 65 kcd is all you need and a 9 amp driver could definitely do that.

Nah, actually I disagree. Just upgrading the driver alone won’t give 90kcd in my opinion. An SST-90 has an almost perfect dedome every time, and it almost doubles the throw. If yours is 135kcd, I think the 65kcd region would be around the max one could get from an X6 with upgraded driver (with dome on).

Yeah, 65kcd is still higher than most lights. It would be more impressive if it didn’t have such a large body though, but I guess that’s best left to XMLs…

We do international business,my customers odered form us,no more than 500 pieces for each time.Maybe they think it is a little high for them,or for the local market.

I never tested and neither own a SST-90 light, but I just estimate (guess? :bigsmile: ) based on some observation on few of my lights and some readings in this forum
