TK's Emisar D4 review

I love the Astolux holster, for me impressive quality, perfect for the Astrolux and Convoy S2. This ganzo pouch is only a less quality, but is also very good for this price (1,23 USD now), I can recomend (at least until we find another one that fits better).

Regards

Thanks for the response. Always good to have options and at that price…

I realize it’s not actually a holster but I use the coin pocket in my jeans as a holster. It fits perfectly in most pairs. On some, the head sticks out only a little bit.

Tried to remove bezel with tools. Got a good grip on it, but not on the head. Still can’t unscrew. Any tips?
The light got several scratches in the process and that’s all for nothing.
Hank, why do you include a spare o-ring while you actively try to make it irreplaceable?

Has anyone else gotten a D4 which seems to have the bezel glued on, or is it just Agro?

I’ve only heard of the one, so far.

I’ve removed the bezel on four D4s. Three from Mountain Electronics and one from International Outdoors.

I cut a strip of 3M indoor stairway grip tape and wrapped it around the bezel. Applied another strip to the head and then turned by hand. Bezel came right off. Didn’t need to break out the strap wrenches and the bezels suffered zero damage. None of the bezels were glued.

Not sure why you’re having such an issue. The bezel isn’t hard to remove at least in my samples.

Mine came off by hand.

Mine also came off with a rubber grip pad only moderate effort - mine came from Mountain Electronics

Hello BLF, and a huge thanks to everyone involved in the production of this amazing little light. I have not been wowed like this since I first joined the other forum back in the heyday of the XR-E.

I grabbed a green XP-L 3A from Mtn. Electronics and I was able to remove the bezel by hand as well.

Mine was from Hank and the bezel was hand tight and came off without any issue.

I needed a rubber gripper, but once I used that my bezel was loose. My D4 was of the latest batch from Mountain.

i was not able to unscrew mine either at least with bare hand, but with the help of non slippery glove it unscrew just fine.

I got a green D4 from Mtn.
The bezel seems to be glued on.
Far more difficult than hand-tight anyway.

None of the D4 bezel is glued, all you need is a bit more force.
But I advise the user do not try to unscrew the bezel (what is the need anyway?), the tightly screwed bezel is crucial
for the heat sinking.

Hank no D1 yet on your website?

So how do I get to the bicycle “stutter” strobe settings? Multiple clicks don’t seem to do it.

reading your quote made me realize there isn’t a strobe on the D4, just the beacon :frowning:

Thank you, I will buy one.

I know that fasttech has some holsters:

Maybe this:

….

I’m not sure which is the best fit.

Hi gregor:
The ganzo holster also available in fasttech (not aff.) at 1,87 USD
Ganzo holster in gearbest (not aff.) at 1,23 USD

The Ultrafire of fasttech that shows at 2,88 USD is interesing, some one Can confirm that fits fine?

I nobody else have this FT ultrafire holster, I can buy it and report my findings.

How quickly is FT with delivery. I last ordered from them long time ago and I think parcel arrived in around 1 month, not very quickly.
