Water Cooled MONSTER 1500 watts

360 , rads wont work as it would require a full rebuild to fit them.
Yes , mounting the leds to the pipes with coolant running through.

Temp wont be an issue,

  1. the batteries (2x 8000mah 4s lipo in series) will probably only last 10 mins or so.
  2. as mentioned in the first post, its not intended to be practical and is more of a functional sculpture.

Its going to have a harness around my shoulders or something like that.

I agree, you will probably be just fine. This is not a practical light and thus does not need to run continuously. Building a loop that could potentially cool the light for lengthy periods is pointless, so you in fact made the right choice to go for a more compact solution.

Thanks for letting us take part in your build!

Also , the tubes themselves are heatsinks!

That’s right

For example, top fuel dragsters typically have no cooling system at all. No need,
It only takes about 4 seconds for the entire race

Undercoat and topcoat applied to the tubes with squares of bare surface where the leds are mounted.

Driver stacks.

temp assembly of the waterblock , t pieces and black marine grade silicone used

Position of waterblock , more silicone added all around joints.

Oh, wow. This is going to be good

Yep.

Yuuuuuuup…………

There have been some crazy builds on BLF recently.

Are the drivers going to be liquid cooled too?

Can you make a parts list and maybe a build guide for this? This is sick!

You can see straight through though, you can see my finger through the cone in the photo.

My bet’s on that being exactly the case.

There’s hotspot, and there’s spill. The hotspot is what comes out the sides of the LED and hits the reflector and is aimed forward. Spill is what doesn’t hit the reflector and just radiates out as a big cone of light.

All that tube in the middle does is block everything that doesn’t hit the reflector, except what comes straight out.

Pretty kewl design, I’d say.

Looks like you’re building a Ravashol pulsar cannon.

You only have empty tubes to transfer the heat to the water?
That won’t be the most effective method but it’s definitely the easiest.

Also, it seems all the tubes are in parallel? You know that the last one will get less flow if you don’t have enough flow from the pump?

Will be a great and impressive build.

“If you see something, say something”

I may have to report this to the FBI.
LOL

EDIT: ( a day later )

My above post was a joke, really.
It’s safe to post to this thread once again, don’t let my comment kill this :stuck_out_tongue:

OMG

Sub’d

Found some info on the reflectors:

And HEAVY.
