I hope this one is descent. If not, it’ll try to mod the driver or run DD. I almost bought the solar storm but thought Id try something different.
I purchased the Magnetic dimming series Archon M60T SST50 T6 LED 800Lm for a few bucks more Archon M60T SST50 as opposed to the Magnetic dimming series Archon M60XL CREE XM-L LED 800Lm Archon M60XL
Other than the price difference, the M60T SST50 uses a T6 and has Orange peel aluminum reflector as opposed to a Reflector: glossy aluminum reflector on the M60XL.
Seen the name somewhere on a forum, but other than that never seen a review on any Archon products. I bought it for it looks and the magnetic ring control. I hope it gets delivered and it’s a half decent light.
They manufacture top-notch lights. I think Archon is made by Xiware, a large high quality OEM manufacturer: Cai, from http://xiware.en.made-in-china.com/. They need to update their web site.
Ordered 3 Xtar batteries, a nitecore charger, a UF C8, and another cheap UF T6 light. The two lights were only about 5 bucks each, so I couldn’t resist. Total was only $34!
I would have ordered more, however I just ordered from wallbuys last week and didn’t want to put too many eggs in one basket.
