Which 21700 Flashlight?

Well, in a recent review of that Rofis light, it had a bad tint shift. So, there’s that. But, what I meant was to have a tight beam for better throw. The XHP-35 doesn’t have nearly as bad a cross or donut hole like the 50’s and 70’s do. But still can’t focus a reflector too well, or you’d get a dark spot where the bright spot is supposed to be, because it’s still a quad die with no light being generated in the ‘center’. Anyway, I’m not knocking the XHP-35. I’m saying that it isn’t ‘better’ than some of the 3V emitters, unless you push it well past 1600lm output.

I have received two 21700 lights. I don’t do reviews but I will give my unbiased opinion:

Rofis MR30. I am extremely pleased with this light! I compared to my Nitecore EDC23 (HXP35 HD, 1800 lumen). The Rofis is noticeably brighter and has better throw (XHP35 HI). It is far superior in run-time and seems extremely well made. The power bank feature is nice as well though unlikely I will use it much.

Wuben A21. I just received it and it’s going to a pickup favorite! It’s not 4200 lumens in my opinion. Closer to 3400-3600 (maybe stretching it to 3700) in comparison to known lights. I have not measured output nor have I measured amps to the LED to do the math. I can say that I am very impressed with the controls, charging and the UI. Build quality is excellent. I have purchased two Wuben products in the past and although they were well made, they performed mediocre at best. My experience is Wuben runs current to the LED on the lighter side of max for reliability (one can assume). This light does not fall in that category. 3-5,000 lumens from a XHP70.2 is not pushing the LED to it’s max but is not conservative either. It’s a beast for its size and I’m sure you will like it!

Hi guys , new here. I agree on the A21. Wasn’t too sure about it for the money , but I wanted a 21700 . I really like the beam , it’s impressive for its size. Just bought the Rofis 50 . Haven’t gotten it yet , but I have the 70 , and while it’s sorta just average beam, the side light is pretty cool . The power is nice , but I probably won’t really use it too much. Will most likely get the MR30 also cause I seem to have a problem.

Can’t believe this thread is still alive. Thanks for all the suggestions.

I ordered a Fireflies PL47 using the group buy coupon. Other moderately priced 21700 lights weren’t interesting enough. The C8F was a runner up. The group buy is still active at —> —> [♛ FreemeGB] Fireflies PL47 Gen II 4*XP-L/ Nichia/ SST20 Hi CRI 21700 Right Angle Flashlight - ENDED

Why did I get the PL47 (XPL HI NW)?

I don’t have another light that does what the PL47 does.

5000lm in compact light.
Andúril out of the box.
Right angle + tail magnet works for me.
Complements my 219C D4S

I have another I received about a week ago. The Fitorch MR15. Great beam profile with useful spill and good throw. Nice easy to find front dual front switches (new design). It comes with a nice cell and built in charging which is nice for those of us that have not bought a charger that accepts the longer 21700 cells. The 4 light charge/battery indicator is a nice touch. Great light for $36 with a code!
