IF we’re talking about an e-switch UI here, the most important points for me, which Skilhunt lights get wrong are:
- A single click should always toggle on/off
- A single click from off should always be a reasonable mode. It can be a medium mode, a manually configured mode, or mode memory
- There should be shortcuts from off to lowest and highest
- Shortcut modes should be excluded from memory, if there’s memory
Mode order is less of a concern, though it should be predictable, so L -> M -> H -> L -> M -> H is better than something that reverses direction.
