Impressive watch collection!

Thank you sir.

It’s good to see that people still buy watch and not apple watch that is too complicated!

Smart watches need to be charged frequently, otherwise I would probably get one.

It's very convenient to not charge my watch every day.

Smart watches are not for me either, much rather have a “real” watch. They all have their place, I carry a mobile but don’t want notifications on my wrist as well. The regular charging just adds to the forever growing list of stuff. Torches, vape mods, power tool batteries , already too much to charge!

I got a galaxy watch in another act of mindless consumerism a few months ago, did nothing for me except give me a greater appreciation of gshocks and other digital watches that still have a good deal of usefull functions and consume almost no energy.

As some work men use mobiles for flashlights, many people use mobiles for time. I am maybe set in my ways, right tools for the right jobs. Besides using a £1500 phone for a work torch is not the best idea either way IMO. i did go a good few years without wearing a watch, but now i just dont feel right without.

Well as you do had a few swaps since yesterday, presently at the 9400 rangeman

I’m happy with my Huawei Watch GT although it’s more of a fitness tracker than a smart watch. I use it for logging my running, cycling exercises and walks without the necessity of taking my mobile with me. It lasts for 10 - 11 days with dialy GPS tracking. I believe without the ferquent use of GPS it would last more than 20 days. I don’t care for the notifications and I don’t miss any of the real smart watch functions either. It’s perfect for monitoring my fitness activities and even for dialy wear without the need of frequent charging. It’s inexpensive and with 50m wr I don’t have to baby it too much either. So it became the part of my watch rotation.

… Helm Komodo …

Do you use it with an Android phone or Apple? How’s Android support on these things?

I use it with an Android phone with the Huawei Health app without any problem.
Edit: At the very first time the watch got a new updated at least five times till it received the latest firmware.

I’m also wearing a smartwatch (a good old Pebble Time, bought second-hand on ebay 2 years ago) on workdays, but on the contrary I don’t care about the fitness functions and only care for the notifications

Since last year I’ve tested a few cheap (~20€) chinese connected watches and none of them can surpass my Pebble Time for my use!

Most of the time these chinese watches are OK but the companion software (on Android at least) is garbage. And notification display is disappointing : only the first few words on the screen, so what’s the deal of having a text notification on your watch that tells you nothing and forces you to fetch your phone :person_facepalming: )

So for me : Great notifications + lightweight software = Pebble Time + GadgetBridge app on Android

Started out frog friday

Right now rangeman 9300

Makes sense. Mornings can be a little froggy, but then it clears up and you can take a long range view. :sunglasses:

I like the way you think!

Square Saturday

:+1:

Komodos were supposed to be available for sale yesterday. Apparently so many people lined up to buy them, they crashed Helm’s website. LOL!

I really dig this orange one.

Just snagged this rare bird … Zixen LE …
