Tried the XHP70 in my S2+ a while back just to see how it would look and I wasn’t satisfied
because I was convinced the output didn’t look as pleasingly bright as I had seen it with some other larger reflectors. Plus it got crazy hot. It’s still a great EDC build though because the S2 isn’t all that throwy with the XML2 to begin with so the XHP70 mod gives that option to blast more light if wanted. I only have one S2+ with one shorty barrel for 18350’s so I opted for the Convoy M1 as my XHP70 EDC. Doesn’t get hot quite as fast and the wider OP reflector works well with it IMO. I prefer it to what it looked like when I tried it in my C8.
