Well based on all the raving about this light, I just bought 2 from ebay seller tomtop_w. Got them for $7.70/ea with free express shipping.

I think this one was recommended by vfmaddict...

I think out of the ones I recieved from multiple vendors this one was the best .

Hi. Just a quick question for those experienced with this (or clones);

Is there anything that will act as a barrel extender (ie. convert to 2x AAs) for this?

I'm presuming there's no problem with a pair, as it can take the 14500s; and a pair of AAs will make the runtime acceptable for biking.

Ta. :-)

Thanks for the idea. Tried a extension from a $3 light. Not sure about extra runtime since it is much brighter.In any case it is a better bike light for me.

Certain that it´s uglier,thou.

What we have here is a massive chance for a China Dealer who can provide AA extensions for Sipik 68.

I wish that I had gotten the idea first....and was a Chinese Dealer.

Think of how popular the SK68 is and how many thousands have been sold.

Wow, what a deal. Had to order two, I can give them to my parents. Crazy deal! Here's the relisted link:

I got the one from the link above from seller TomTop....

anybody figure a way to remove the zoom front end? Would be nice to clean up in there and take a peek.

Hold the slider, unscrew the lens cap at the very front, use a tool to unscrew the pill (led holder). It comes apart.

Needle nose pliers with small front jaws, Round nose pliers from a Stained Glass shop (used for breaking glass), Big Tweezers, snap ring pliers, medium size scizzors....think of a way....it ain't rocket science.

You can even use small nails or bits of a paper clip in a Vice Grip.

Thanks Steve. Would you believe I had tried unscrewing the front lens cap and couldn't budge it. Then, used a rubber glove for a good grip and came right off. Cleaned it up a little...dust etc on glass.

I read one post that said apply silicone grease under the star for better heat transfer as there appeared to be none from factory. Any feedback on this? Is it necessary when running 14500's? Just checkin. :)

Just ordered 2 more. Great Price..couldn't help it.. lol great gifts as well.

I bought this a year ago,when it was cheaper;

edit, buy it now;

The LED is not hard driven, all OK so far.

If you want, you can get some heat sink glue, like they use on the CPU in computers. All of the China Dealers sell it.

I have used copper dust from a fine grinder and silcone oil I get at the lab at work, mixed.

Computer experts laugh at it...however, as far as I can tell, it is the same as the stuff they use....and free. Pure silver dust would be a few percent better.

US$3.86 for a torch?? LOL!

Looks like a C3 clone. probably 1 mode, no Cree.

LOL...Above posts refer to robbing the extension tube for use on the Sipik Clone since the threads apparently match. $3.86 US delivered to the door for an AA extension tube from the other side of the World would be a steal IMO... just throw the rest of the torch in the dupmster. LMAO..!

Super find on the extension tube !

Already bitten the bullet and ordered both the sk68 and a different 'extemsion tube included' one.

Not that I'm recommending it (as I don't know if the threads match!) but if you're after a cheap tube; the tank007 has a separately purchasable extension for $2.57 at manafont.com

Might look at that eBay 5w donor if all else fails.

You can ask Jim to actually try it out for you. Tell him if it does many might buy it.

$6.16 is still on.Ordered another.Thanks Dave!

Any one tested this light yet? Mine is still shipping and yet to arrive.

Ordered one last night. I am poor so $6 will hold off the desire for a new light for a while.
