SK68 o-ring

A quick question about the sk68.

I have ordered two of these from different sellers. On one of them, the slide - zoom function is very loose. When I opened it up there was a little metal c-ring that provided the slide resistance. I have read that a o-ring in place of the metal c-ring will provide the stiffer slide that I desire.

So...the question is, does anyone know the size of o-ring that will fit this groove and give me the amount of resistance I am looking for? Thanks for the help.

Might I suggest just taking the light into your local hardware store (Lowes, Home Depot, etc . . .) and just see what fits? I've done this sort of thing quite a few times.

I just expand the c-ring a little when I want to tighten the action a bit.

Thanks for the tips guys. I actually did expand the clip a little and while it helps add tension it is not as stiff as I would like. I might just head to the hardware store as suggested, but I thought I'd check here first in case someone has done the exact same thing. Thanks for the comments and advice.

Just follow the advice of garrybunk above. It did that and wrote about it

somewhere here on the forum. Any suitable o-ring will do, and remenber

to lube!
