Sorry i didenāt find me in the list, Please Add me with One light. THANKS
Thanks fritz15ā¦. I like it. A lot!! . :+1:
Fritz? Isnāt it also customary to cut a bevel at the leading edge of a section of knurling so as to reduce the sharpness? Canāt tell from the pictures if this is being done, thought you might want to look into itā¦
Still have no clue about features, except that it is with a single 18650, BUTā¦it looks awesome!
Finnno, itās a triple (expected to be XP-G3) with either Narsil from Tom E or the advanced variant of Narsil that ToyKeeper calls Anduril. Ramping is the primary UI, if itās indeed Anduril there will be configurable floor and ceiling levels to the ramp, double click to Turbo from any position, moon from a press and hold from off, configurable low and moon levels. Last level memory so you can use a selected level in the 150 step ramp repeatedly, there will be blinkies in a mode group thatās easily selected and these blinkies themselves are user configurable for speed and so forth, like the Beacon will be configurable to blink at a set timing that you choose. There may also be other modes to play with in another group.
At any rate, it will be an advanced UI written by one of two members here. Very nice stuff indeed.
Sorry and thanks for correcting me; I know this is an e-switch, just used the wrong name for it :person_facepalming:
Anyway, if that can be solved, untill the final version or with a button change, thatās ok for me
Thanks for both your you answers about the emitters ! Iām sure on the next prototypes they will have the ācorrectā LEDs for the team to test and to see if they will be the appropriate LEDs for this - already - amazing flashlight
Also, the ābare-metal shineā will be making a my eyes shine with it
Keep up the good work and keep us updated in this please Thanks for the efforts on this project :+1:
Featuresā¦ lots of features. As many as we can fit into 8K (which, as it turns out, is quite a few).
It seems itāll probably use Anduril. It has a smooth ramp, a mode group, soft lock, momentary, muggle mode, and about nine optional blinkies in two groupsā¦ and the ability to configure almost everything. For example, the mode group uses whatever floor and ceiling levels you want, with any number of levels between, evenly-spaced. The beacon and strobes go at whatever speed you set. Biking and candle and momentary and beacon modes run at whatever brightness you set. Many of the options are configured realtime during use without going into a menu. It also does smooth thermal regulation, automatically adjusting to any of about 640 levels to keep heat from going too high.
Very interested, please add me to the list for 1.
Any chance it will be offered in high CRI or warmer neutral white like 4000k?
Thanks
Does anyone have a side by side picture of the ātwo versionsāā¦. or the capabilityās to make one ???
It would be interesting to see.
Any solutions for those who donāt like clips? I know there are a few of usā¦.
Nope, I donāt think it has any way to attach a lanyard without a clip. I mean, unless you remove the clip and replace it with a lanyard attachment ring. That would probably work. The host itself has nowhere to a attach a lanyard, nor anywhere to put a strong enough hole. Thereās not much extra material anywhere.
Pavlo, itās too early to say what the emitter choices will be. It hasnāt been decided.
Thanks Toykeeper. Looking forward to see what the final light will be like.
The clip could be ground away except for the hole closest to the body of the light. That could possibly give the desired lanyard ring hole and remove the disliked clip. It could potentially require some vise and ball peen hammer work.
Me? I would want the clip and the lanyard ring hole close to the body of the light . 180Ā° away from the clip would be best. The Fenix clip is excellent and I see no way to improve in it.
.
ā¦
Yepā¦. they both look good.
Please sign me up for one of them. Thanks
The sad thing is if they made it in both styles I would probably get one of each. lol
Yepā¦ I feel the same way. I would tooā¦ā¦
Same here. Give me one of each!
.
IFā¦. I were forced to choose only one, all else being equal; Iād go with the tapered one.
But there is no ādeal breakerā in that statement at all. Either one, or whatever else may emerge; works for me. :+1:
