Nice tracking discharge curves with fairly constant capacity, but the cell cannot handle above 10A without heat problems, this is acceptable with a maximum rating of 9.6A
I only discharge the cell to 2.8V, not the rated 2.5V and get a bit less than full capacity.

Battery gets to hot and i stop the discharge.

Conclusion
This is highest capacity 21700 cell at the current time (Jan 2018) and it looks very good, but it is not designed for high current discharges or fast charging.

very nice cell, thank you for the detailed review.
I think I will try to bore out a light to try a 21700.

Always charge my batteries at 0.5Amp (when not in a hurry Wink ).

Thanks for the review!

Thanks for the review.

May I know what is the advantage of 21700? It seems to perform not as good as a good Liitokala 26650.

cool i'll see you when you get there

Capacity is a little less than I hoped for.
Any idea what’s the difference with this version?

Chargers: 1xBasen BD01 5/5, 1x Gyrfalcon All-88 4/5, LiitoKala: 3x100 3/5, 2x202 3/5, 1x402 3/5., MiBoxer C4-12 3/5.
Flashlights: DQG Tiny III 26650 5/5, FiTorch MR35 3/5, Haikelite SC26 HD 3/5, Lumintop Tool AA/AAA 4/5, Nitecore LA10, Sofirn C01 BLF 3200k/5600k 2/5, Zebralight H600Fc 3/5.
Powerbanks: EasyAcc 26800 mAh 3/5, Xtar PB2 4/5, Xtar PB2S 5/5
Waiting for: (DQG Tiny) 21700 EDCs.

The color rendering of the IMRbatteries website. Mine is gray and has the same text as the battery in the picture.

Wondering whether the 48G would be okay to use for a pulsed, low duty cycle (5 sec. on, 30+ sec. off), 45-50W max. application with a 3.3V cutoff voltage.

According to specifications:

Max. discharge current: 9600mA (Not for cycle life)
Max. pulse discharge current: 30A for 10sec, 25A for 30sec, 18A for 60sec

It looks good enough (I would expect double current needs four times the cool down time, i.e. 25% duty cycle at 2×9.6A)
But is would not guess on cycle life.

Said to be the same. But as with most rewraps you won’t know until it arrives.
