really, where the hell do i get an R2 or R3 on a 14mm board?
i just want to rebuild my XR-E Aurora V6.
my MC-E and XP-G R5 are finished, and I need to compare it to an older style (and i love the throw of them lol)
*edit* upgrading the MC-E to maybe an M bin. need one on a 16 or 17mm round board.
the one in there is like MAYBE J bin, and is on a 14mm star so it doesnt center well in the provided space.

The only place I know of to reliably get boarded emitters is cutter.com.au. Shipping is high-ish so you'll have to get a few to offset. You can get the emitters themselves from a few different electronics suppliers, but supply is sporatic.

i have no problem buying a few, but they seem to not have them on 14mm stars.
also im looking for an MC-E on a 16 or 17mm star (for my P60 host) thats an M bin or so
I need to up the efficiency because of the heat output from the Shiningbeam 2800ma regulator.

They have a 10mm square mcpcb which should be close to 14m diagnally.

yea i need an MC-E on a 16-17mm star of bin K or higher. I prefer bin M or N.
i wish i could even find the board seperate, cause i could get the bare emitter from cutter....
uhg why is this so hard!
shoot i have an MC-E on a 14mm star in a drop in!!!! but its a much lower bin, can tell by the massive amount of heat at the same amperage as a p7

in what case?
i cant drive an XP-E at 2.8 amps lol
i already have a few XP-G R5's
I need an XR-E R2 or R3 AND an MC-E M or better.
The XR-E has to be on a 14mm, the MC-E has to be on a 16 or 17mm.
Also awaiting the XM-L on a 14mm as well, which should be soon from what ive read (cutter i guess is doing that one)

well the XR-E is wanted due to the optics, and the lenses i have are all perfect fit for XR-E and MC-E!
the XP-G looks funky on this reflector!

The reason it might is because the focal distance is slightly off. Might trying shimming or sanding if you're commited :).

tried it lol
but thank you for the comments. seems like ur the only one lately to read this stuff lol
ill settle with another q5 for the XR-E
as far as the MC-E.... i might get the 20mm star and shave it down. that should work right?

So what happened with changing focal length on that reflector?
Shaving should work.

i tried first with placement, i still has ugly rings.
the R5 also did have as nice of a hot spot.
reason is, the R5 has a very EVEN almost 180 degree light output.
I wanted the thing to throw, the q5 did ALOT better at that due to its already hot spot without a reflector!
like i said tho, i REALLY want an MC-E on a 16/17mm star!
