Got a Meyle water pump, the old one was fine but once I am in there… might as well replace everything I can get my hands on
(redoing the entire cooling system)
Needed it to replace a Salter scale that takes CR2032 batteries and has started eating them, one per week or so.
Very impressed with it, takes 2xAAA, very good backlit display, very accurate - matches my Salter to the gram exactly.
Also well thought out trays, upside down one covers the plate, and the larger one covers the whole scale for protection, keeping the display clean.
Got it from here Gearbest page
I think with a Bilakos coupon, paid $8 with shipping.
I like (and have wanted one) that YZXStudio ZY1270 USB meter, Glenn. Spendy darn thing tho.
I needed a battery storage case, so I bought four Pelican 1010 micros, that arrived last week, I like them so much I have six more on the way.
I’ll use them as gifts (to put a flashlight and batteries inside). So the recipients will get a bonus of what’s inside.
More regarding the Panasonic ZS100 camera I previously mentioned here…
Some of the reviews on the ZS100 note the front side finger grip is perhaps a little on the too small side. I do agree. The factory grip on the ZS100 is shallower than the grip on the old TZ4 I have. So I did some google searching. I found a few different add-on grips. Most are a universal type. Then I found one on Etsy; custom made for the ZS100. At first glance it appeared to stick out too far in front. I had more reservations about some of the others not being enough though. I bit the bullet and ordered the one on Etsy; $20 inluded shipping. He has several colors (link to Etsy page is below) One , and only one, has a textured surface finish. I chose that one. The ZS100 comes in two colors, typical black camera and the silver grey with red stripe that I bought. This #20 color is a good color for either color camera, IMO.
Anyhow, I do like the appearance and am really impressed with the use of the camera with the grip. Handling the camera with the new grip applied makes for a much more secure feeling. I still use the wrist strap, just in case I slip. Here’s some shots; the Etsy link at the bottom
The grip affixes using a strip of a 3M tape; a VHB variant. It has a tenacious hold. It works best if applied between 70 and 100 F, so I warmed grip and camera in an insulated bag to 95 F.
Thanks to SpAwN’s recommendation, I purchased a United Scope SE400Z Microscope. It will definitely help me out when soldering small smd devices and adjusting my mechanical watches, etc.
Ordered 2 items from Bed Bath & Beyond because my local store didn’t have them in stock. Used my 20% off discount coupons.

Received a Hakko dual solder dispenser today along with a brand new 1 lb. roll of Kester SN63 0.62 solder. Now I have 0.20, 0.31, and 0.62” solder available at will. BTW, all my solder is leaded SN63. You couldn’t pay me to use lead free.
Got my 2 Aguilar GS112 bass cabinets today. They are being powered an Aguilar Tone Hammer 500 amplifier. I’ve owned a bunch of amps over the course of 39 years. This setup is the best yet!
Got my Epiphone 20th anniversary Jack Casady bass today. It’s on the right. Very happy with it’s quality and sound! This is coming from a bassist with close to 50 years of experience.
