Great shots indeed! That does really show what it feels to have a GT pointed at you from a mile away!
You are in the next batch and haven’t received a PM with ordering instructions yet, so there is no need to cancel anything, just don’t order it. Being on the list is not a commitment to order.
However… maybe someone would want to use you slot in the GB… TA will tell.
My BLF GT finally came in this week!
Registered shipping, took a while and came in 2 boxes without the foam to protect it, but…
OMFG that thing is sick big.
I love it! It’s totally undamaged, looks amazing and performs like a beast! Very nice tint too. Very well built :+1:
No taxes to pay on arrival either. I understand if registered shipping will be unavailable next time, but I’m very happy I got it for under €100 delivered. Amazing!
It really makes everyone smile, what a crazy big bright heavy piece of amazing work.
Thanks team, all your efforts and the waiting paid off. This is a very nice piece of gear you all made possible! :+1: :+1:
And with it selling on ebay for 350$+ I can even convince my girlfriend its a good buy
Mine I won’t be selling for sure!
Yes, to everybody still waiting, it really is worth the wait! In a way, the anticipation is why a group project on BLF is so much fun.
I already booked a weekend away just to make sure that doesn’t happen
Fortunately it is so big, she can’t leave the house with the GT without everybody noticing it
@ Djozz, if I shine it in your direction, you might actually see it from your house
I just found out new way to turn off switch light without going to setings for that.
Simply turn it on ,ramp it a little bit up,and then down to the lowest level and as soon as you get lowest output just fast single click to turn it off
Ha, found it, thanks to the church and the V&D pinnacle lining up so nicely. A bit far for the GT to shine all the way to me but still close
(now back to boring stuff: crunching uv-led output numbers :person_facepalming: )
Received mine today. One box in perfect condition.
I have just tested it on a target at 800m away and it’s noticeably brighter than my TN42 NW. The GT reaches trees behind the target that the TN42 isn’t capable of. Unfortunately i don’t have the gear to take decent beamshots.
I really enjoy the warm tint too. Great, great job GT Team! :+1:
Sorry, but we already have 60 more people signed up than we do lights. We are actually hoping a few more people drop out or decide not to buy so that those who really want it will have a better chance of getting one.
In case anyone missed it, I’ll probably repost this every now and then.
I have some news on emitter swaps.
I talked to Richard at Mountain Electronics (RMM on these forums and a sponsor here) and told him there might be more than a few guys with GT’S interested in swapping to a cooler tint. He says that if you send in your stock mcpcb to him and buy one of his new XHP35-HI emitters, he will reflow it for free! He has 2 choices right now, 5,000k and 5700k tint. They are both the same D4 brightness bin as the stock GT 4000k emitter.
The cost of both are under $8, plus the shipping cost there and back. I’m in Texas and shipping a small package from him is usually $2 to $3. So I would estimate the entire cost at under $15.
Did you look at post #1 and fill out that form? Madmax can tell you if you have a tracking number or not. If no tracking number, you might be one of the last 50 folks whose light hasn’t shipped yet.
Lumintop probably has the lights built, but in post 18555 TA said the reflectors aren’t expected until late this week or early next week. So if the reflectors come in early next week, they will probably ship out a few days later.
