Here’s the output measurements with the supplied batteries. No notable increase with high drain VTC5A (about 10 lumens).
Wuben TO46R
Turbo 0 sec: 1180 lumens (stepdown at 1 minute and drops down to 520 lumens at 2.5 minutes with the head at 50°C)
Turbo 30 sec: 1140
High 30 sec: 586
Mid 30 sec: 196
Low 30 sec: 37
Moon 30 sec: 5.6 lumens
maukka, maybe this is a dumb question, but considering the supposedly “expected” 1300 lumens - adverstised by the manufacturer - and these 1180 lumens measured, this decrease is due to the emitters used? Meaning NW (modded for this GB) vs CW (original)?
This is just a curiosity and will not influence - IN ANY WAY - my option to buy the light in this GB
Thanks for your work and for _ the _’s work on this
Hmm that 1 minute turbo time is kind of a bummer. The lumen output for 1100 is understandable due to the CRI rating though. The Jaxman E2L can maintain 900 lumens with no step down, though it gets a litte hot after a while. So I’d at least like to have seen a 900 lumen option. Hmm.
For the price though, I’m still interested and on the list already.
From what I understand, you sacrifice lumens for high CRI. So I think this is normal for 90CRI. High CRI requires more phophor to be dumped on the LED blocking more light.
