This is going to be a great light with this firmware and a tail clicky!
Just an FYI: I don’t think it’s going to be a tail clicky in the traditional sense, but a tail mounted contact that operates it. Similar to Liteflux, Novatac, or HDS.
Sorry if I’m stating something you already knew, there have been a lot of updated threads about lighted tailswitches lately and I wouldn’t want you to get your hopes up for this being a candidate.
Or, and this is certainly a possibility, I’m completely wrong.
It’s an electronic contact switch, not a hard power-disconnect switch. It isn’t compatible with any current lighted-tailswitch solutions, but if you replaced both the custom switch PCB and the metal boot it might still be possible.
Yeah should not have said clicky. Just a tail switch that is a lot easier to find than a side switch. That ramps and does all the other fantastic modes like candle and lightning.
TK, I have been following a lot of your updates. I could maybe learn how and purchase needed items but at this time would rather pay someone to re-flash for me.
Also you keep making it better and better so. . . Just kinda waiting for awhile.
Thanks for what you and everyone else are doing making these great UI’s!
I’ve been gradually catching up on requests, including those already on the list… because I’m training a bot to recognize them. I’m not sure if it’ll ever be truly viable, but for now at least it’s an interesting experiment in computer learning algorithms and web automation. And maybe someday it can track these things automatically.

I like the idea a lot. Not too be a party pooper, but it would be even better if there was some sort of separate form that worked as an interest list so the product threads could focus on product questions and updates. I want to know what the latest news on these projects is, but I have getting the notification that just to see someone asking to be added to the list.

That’s part of the plan too, a BLF projects web site to handle signups directly, but there are some details about user authentication which aren’t going to be resolve-able any time soon. I’d need sb to add an Oauth provider module or something similar to BLF in order to let another site handle the same set of users. So for now it would have to be done through an interest-list thread… which could be separate from the discussion thread.
I’m not really sure how useful it would be, but at least it’d be a good excuse to play with some modern web tech. OTOH, I already have too many projects…
I’m pretty sure this has been asked already but will the light be available before Christmas this year?
I was expecting it to be available by now. I wasn’t really expecting four months of crickets after the first prototype though. So it’s already late, and I’m hoping it’ll be out well before the holidays. Maybe if things go well, the second prototypes will go out soon, and have no significant issues, and then it could clear the way for sales to start? I really don’t know.

That’s impressive. Natural language processing is tough stuff (or so I’ve heard). On the other hand, how about setting a recognizable pattern and inform everyone to include in the request?
Btw been a while since I last read this thread, now I’d like to book 2 more (already in for 1).
About muggle-mode. Without following too much discussion about Anduril and maybe repeating a thought process already finished, I just took the time to read the current Anduril firmware in the second post, and based on some discussion on BLF and my own experience, I think that disconnecting the power to get out of muggle mode makes it too easy. It will make me not lending the light out to muggles if simply opening the battery compartment or even loosening the tailcap will make the FW3A into something frightening for them.
Maybe another six clicks to get out of muggle mode would do the trick, instead of disconnecting the power. I think that muggle mode is recognisable enough for flashoholics (or else it may need a subtile visible marker somehow during operation) that they will realise that they are in it and have to perform the six-clix to get back to full operation.
Admins-
I’m 947 on request/interest list for one unit. If I still have time, please add another for a total of two units.
Thanks
Just a simple man.
You people are amazing!
Could I please put my name down for one if it’s not too late?

Want this on all my Emisars and Q8.
If you can reflash them, the code is already available.

First post updated a bit… mostly cleaning and putting current info there.

FW3A thread – contact Neal on BLF or email for FW3A questions and support
I like it. Has a Novatac look to it.
Interested.
Add me to the list for one, please!
Great... Carnac the Magnificent tells me I just signed up for yet another expensive hobby.
Smile! It makes others wonder what you've been up to.
Thanks!
The link to TLF is the order thread.
Can you add the discussion thread too, please?

Thanks
Please put me on the list for two please!
Is the clip in the pictures off-the-shelf? I’ve got a couple lights that it might fit.
If it’s possible, please add me for 1 unit.
Done. Thanks for for the link.
It’s custom for this specific light, and does not come off without disassembling the tail half of the light.
Interest list updated.
