Need help deciding....

i like the tint on the wizard pro (warm), but i donā€™t know for the olight

the magnet is good too

edit : i donā€™t know why the second pic is reversedā€¦ oh well

Wow there is quite a difference in those tints. The Wizard Pro also looks like it has a slight bit of a hot spot. In general i prefer a slightly warmer tint though.

maybe in this picture at 6ā€ from the wall, but in everyday task not at all

In the second pic it appears the v2 CRI90 warm was moved to center? And v3 is now to the left << ?

Youā€™re welcome, thanks for starting the thread, it made me rediscover all these options again.

I agree about the Imalent, it checks all my boxes too, except the most important one. As usual when I find a light that has all the best features thereā€™s no neutral option, this continues to happen again and again. If Iā€™m going to have to live with CW I may as well just get the Nitecore HC33 for half the price.

In the Imalent I really like how it has 1500lm & 700lm modes below the turbo, and also the Zebralight type UI with 1-click on/off, plus itā€™s a bit shorter than the others. If Iā€™d ever see it on a really great deal Iā€™d get it and try an emitter swap.

yes and yes

Perfect agreement with that cold white emitter. I will do a emitter swap and put a 5k neutral white in it. One of my biggest requirements for a right angle light is the magnetic base. There are lots of times when im working on something and find it convenient to stick my light to something. I think one of these days im going to sit down and design and sketch up my perfect headlight. I have a few ideas :).

@Blackdragon1230, perhaps you should do an emitter swap with the Nichia 319A. Very low forward voltage, meaning better efficiency and less heat.

Isnā€™t that a 3V emitter? Heā€™s replacing an XHP70.2, so maybe he could use the 144AM 90+CRI (6V)?

You suggested the 144AM in a different thread about modding an S2+: s2+ with xhp50.2 h1-a driver - #9 by BlueSwordM

Ohhh, I didnt notice he wanted a 6V emitter in his Skillhunt H03.

How is he going to fit a boost driver in it though? Headlamps are even tighter compared to normal lights.

He was referring to buying the Imalent HR70 (see post#26 above)

If he was referencing to the HR70, then go for it!

The 144AM is absolutely beautiful with an OP reflector.

If I didnā€™t damage it by mistake, then I would have posted some beamshots already.

Although Iā€™m planning a future XHP mod for my defective Skilhunt H03, when the 17mm boost drivers become available, hoping for it to fit

How did you damage it?

Well, while I was doing some white wall beamshots, I bumped the light, made it fall off the table, and boom!, the light shut off.

The reflector was damaged in stock form. I requested one from Haikelite, and it is on the way.

I havenā€™t had the time to fix it, nor the equipment to fix the driver if it is broken.

I see, thought you meant you damaged the emitter itself.

No, the emitter is fine. If I had damaged the emitter, I wouldā€™ve just swapped it for another one using the new hot plate I should receive this week.

Hmmmā€¦. XHP50 into an H03 would be cool.

XHP50.2 might be best since it has the same footprint as the XM-L2.

Actually mine is an H02, (previous version) and itā€™s slightly larger than the H03. Thereā€™s a ton of space inside and it has a 21mm driver like the H03.

Lexel makes a driver specifically for H03 (but not a boost driver) There are some 1S 20mm and 22mm boost drivers available but not sure about any an for e-switch.

For the H03 XHP50 has already been done with 2S for 2750 lumens: (post #94) Skilhunt H03 Review - #94 by JIGHEADWORM

H02:
Lengthā€¦ā€¦ā€¦ā€¦ā€¦ā€¦.110mm
Body Diameterā€¦ā€¦22.8mm
Head Diameterā€¦ā€¦31mm

H03:
Lengthā€¦ā€¦ā€¦ā€¦ā€¦ā€¦.99.9mm
Body Diameterā€¦ā€¦21.6mm
Head Diameterā€¦ā€¦23.5mm

BTW, have you tried an 18350 tube for your H03? (post #41) Skilhunt H03 Review - #41 by chadvone

I might just install a new driver and 18350 in my old H02 and call it a day on that one. I think itā€™s the BLF A6 tube, might require some modifications, I donā€™t have an A6 shorty tube but I tried the regular tube from my A6 and it does fit, but the O-rings are showing so Iā€™d loose water resistance, although that wouldnā€™t be an issue for this.

Not exactly sure about fitment on the H03, but it looks like it worked out OK for chadvone.

I havent tried to change the H03 yet, and only had it 2 weeks. I just now got the battery i wanted for it, but it seems like it has potential. I believe an XM-L2 can be pushed to around 1600 lumens, am i remembering correctly? So a FET driver for it might give it a nice bump up. This is a headlight that i have been thinking about moddingā€¦ā€¦ if its not too much of a piece of junk. https://www.gearbest.com/headlights/pp_1104480.html
