Got my last two GT´S on tuesday with DHL Express. For one light, I payed extra fees and the second was free. The new reflector of the two lights has a better finish and the LED is better focused. The shipping was very quick and the extra parts were in the box.

It’s due to how mode changes are implemented in NarsilM. Basically a timing / race condition relating to different parts of the code changing state at different times, and it can act a little weird when the parts are out of sync. The way the attiny works, there isn’t any true preemptive multitasking so it has to do cooperative multitasking of some sort. It’s a tricky thing to get right without any quirks.
Looking at the code, it seems that things can be out of sync by as much as 2.5 to 3 seconds during number readout, depending on when the button gets pressed.
If it bothers you, you can fix it by flashing new firmware.
Thanks for the explanation, it doesn’t bother me ,it only does it sometimes & when it does happen a click off then on sorts it out.
Incidentally, this is also the reason why the button LED can be turned off with just the right timing. It’s technically a bug, but it’s one which got left in on purpose because it was also sort of a feature.
The only actual problem I’m aware of from this quirk was related to thermal regulation on an early version of the D4. After getting hot, then being turned off and back on at moon, it could “step down” to a really high level. But the symptoms of that were fixed.
Or the underlying bug is fixed entirely in some newer firmware, so it can’t really get out of sync with itself in the same way.
My GT arrived yesterday. Just outside of Cincinnati for anyone that’s interested. And I have to say, I was a little put off by the box. Slight damage, but I thought it was smaller than it should be. Then I opened it up and was like “holy sh*t, this thing is ridiculous” and had my moment of giggles. The quality of this thing is insane. Makes my Q8 feel like one of those disposable lights you get at harbor freight, ok not that bad but you get the jist. Thank you to Team Giggles. I can’t wait to take this thing boating and camping in the mountains!
I’m missing my 2 split rings, but that’s no biggie as I already need 1 more for my keys so I will pick some up. 1 of the O-rings on the long tube is nicked up in a couple spots, but I have 2 spares that came with it. And 1 of the carriers “+” spring loaded button is not extending all the way. I seen someone else had this issue here, and fixed it by disassembling the carrier. If I have time tomorrow I will disassemble it and see what I can do. It still works as long as it is the carrier toward the head if I’m using the long tube.

Now that all the lights have been sent, when will the issues be fixed? Ive been waiting since February for a resolution. 
Almost all issues have been fixed already.
An outstanding issues survey was started on March 14th.
A new outstanding issues survey with started on April 12th.
Lights lost in shipping were officially declared lost about 2 or 3 weeks ago (I can’t remember the date) and those replacement lights were shipped out last week.

I ordered mine on the 6th with the bag and cap set. I got the flashlight tues from DHL, but not the bag and cap. I emailed Neal, but never got a response. Anyone else order the bag and cap? was it shipped separately?
It’s been mentioned dozens of times: they ship separately and they ship snail mail.

My last GT, ordered 19 May & shipped 25 May; should be here 30 May according to DHL text. I am betting on the 29th however. It is resting in Cincinnati, OH atm & since 00:03 today.
3 short tubes arrived today by Amazon.
It will be interesting to see is the 4 straps were able to be crammed into the GT box for the ‘fast DHL trip across the pond’. Or if they suffered the fate of snail mail…

I would add that you need to contact Neal to see about ordering it now that the sales have been closed. Tell him you were on the list, but missed the deadline.
Yes I contacted Neal back in Feb/March, he said a replacement would be sent out because the quality of mine was really bad. But this was months ago and still nothing has been sent or updated. Ive sent him one or two emails asking for updates and also filled another survey a few weeks ago and nothing in response was received.
I was in the second batch. Paid in December ’17. I only received the battery tube. The head is considered lost by the Belgium post/customs. I send numerous to Neal. The last 3 without response….
Texas_Ace is the one that contacts Neal for updates. TA typically takes Sunday off and because of the holiday, he might take Monday off too.
Just a quick check in, All of the missing and current orders should of shipped last week. So they should now be on the way.
Neal did not expect to get the tracking numbers for them until at least the end of this week, most should be delivered by then.
Fixed, I have made that mistake a few times recently in my hurried typing. It is not a good mistake to make to say the least lol.
