Sorry about pushing this new griddle, but it’s incredible. I always wondered why Hebrew National Hot Dogs always tasted better when I got them at my local kosher take-out place. Anyway, I cooked 2 of them on my Blackstone today, and guess what? they were just as good! I think it might be the high heat this griddle produces.

Yeah, when boiling HDs the usual way, what I used to do was drain out all the water, score the HDs diagonally all around, then “fry” them in the now-dry pot ‘til they’d leach out some fat, cook in it, and brown a little bit all around.

It’s goooooood eatin’!

Gotta scour out the pot afterwards, ‘cause the fat “boils out” to dark marks on the pot, but it’s worth it

Wish I had those roller-type HD cookers like you see at ballparks, 7-11, etc. Crank up the heat, let ‘em cook ‘til they’re shrivelled up like slim-jims, and… oh, man, I’m getting so hungry now…

Man I started to get excited when I saw this Blackstone for $21 at Wally World https://www.walmart.com/ip/BLACKSTONE-17-TABLE-TOP-GRIDDLE-COVER-CARRY-BAG-SET/321624181?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&adid=22222222227071962325&wmlspartner=wmtlabs&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=182825014219&wl4=pla-287336050461&wl5=9010901&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=online&wl12=321624181&wl13=&veh=sem

edit… It’s just the carry bag

I got one of these off Amazon a few years ago. Works perfectly. That or the grill is the only way I like em. You’re right, the longer they are on there, the better they get.

Got this Lodge LGP3 Rectangular Cast Iron Grill Press today. . This thing is heavy at 2.1 pounds! I’ll be using it to keep bacon flat and for making smash burgers.

Hey Pete, it came one day early! Calibration certificate and all. Zero’s out reliably every time!

What do you mean by this? You turn it on and it is showing something other than zero?

Yes. Then I have to click the zero set. Then I open and close the caliper, it’s no longer zero again!

BTW, this new caliper is perfect! Zero’s every time!

Thanks. Mine does not do that, but even then, I am sure accuracy isnt there. One of these days I’ll get a nicer one.

Got a gallon of WD-40 and a SureShot Sprayer for the WD-40. It works much better than the standard aerosol cans for my needs. I’m using it to coat my drill press exposed steel surfaces and any steel tools that may rust in my garage. It has a much wider spray pattern and finer mist than the aerosol cans. You simply fill the can three-quarters full, and pressurize it with 120 psi and you’re off and running. It works great.

Ordered my 5th Brickwall Filter. I’ve been using these to protect my electronics since the mid-1990’s. Never once had a failure with anything protected by one of these devices. Trust me, it’s light years better than MOV protected surge protectors. Not inexpensive, but it’s cheap if you have expensive equipment that needs to be replaced if there is a major surge from a lightning strike. That said, it will not protect against a direct strike, nothing will.

Check them out

Nice, klrman! How do you like it so far? Which vendor did you purchase it from?

I really like it.  Right away tested some switches and leds and will be really nice for future projects that I have in mind.  I got it from Banggood and it came in 11 days.  I went on their chat help and asked if they would give me a coupon for this and they did and price dropped to $76.99 so I grabbed it.

Update:  Voltage holds steady when in increments of 0.1V but when using 0.10V it swings about 0.15 and then settles between the 0.03 range after a short while.

I went to Home Depot today to buy some Top Soil. But the impulse shopper that I am, I bought this Dewalt bit set on sale.. To be honest, I forget what I paid, but it was cheap!

Pretty sweet IMO. Much brighter that the dual 40W tubes, warmer too.
Not done wiring and installing all the fixtures I have but 14 tubes used so far. 10 to go. Will also be splitting the circuit 50/50 or front and rear. Too hot lately to get up in the second floor. Big garage 25×50, second floor is 12×50.

This pic is lit with 6 tubes, one 2 tube fixture on the side and a 4 tube fixture in the middle with a diffuser lens

Just got this 6p inflatable tent. Nice, but not quite a backpack model.
