I sent a message to Neal to check up on these issues but have not heard back yet.
The last thing I heard from him was that he suspected the China government was making it even harder to access the outside world and the only way he could even contact me was using a VPN. Everything worked fine with the VPN but nothing without it.
I have not heard anything since, so not sure what is going on, it has only been a few days so I am not worried but guessing he is having to find another way around the system.
I looked over on hMadmax’s bag and cap thread and saw quite a few instances of lost shipments. So he went to a new shipping company and it got lost. I bet that’s what happened to several people here that have been waiting over 4 weeks for it.
May 1 - Paid for GT and 8 Batteries
May 24 - PM’d Neal for an update
May 26 - Neal said that they did not have my Phone number on record
May 26 - provided phone number
May 26 - Neal PM’d me that it would ship out next week.
I PM’d Neal 2 times for tracking number, but did not receive any.
June 25 - (Michigan USA) Received GT + all 8 batteries packaged well. - Wow! nice flashlight.
Just wanted to provide some details for those interested.
Thank you Team and Neal for your hard work.
I have a PDF version on my old computer but I am still in the process of transferring everything over to my new one. Got around 10-20TB of data to sort through, re-organize onto my new larger hard drives and then figure out how to make a backup of it.
Received my GT yesterday!!! The bad news?? Well I had to pay 91 US$ in taxes!!! Well I got boned pretty hard by my customs but ok. I got it finally. Except the accessories (bag and caps) those are still AWOL. Short tube and batteries were inside the box with the GT. Light is awesome… just a little sad that in the end it ended up costing me more than what lumintop is asking for it outside the GB. DHL is an awful shipping choice for Brazil they are so greedy and let nothing pass. Registered Mail is the way to go for this sh*thole country.
On a side note I wanted to give a shoutout to all the developer members of this awesome project and to Neal who was very helpful and did everything he could to help me, truly awesome guy.
Also, looking forward to those XHP70 MCPCBs and TA FET drivers to make the 8000 lumens thrower monster Adventure Sports Flashlights showed us. Preferably at a reasonable price and no DHL this time!!! Lol
